Sign behind Ruff: Lindy-Sanity

Sign-holder looked sheepish and nervous, like he was going to get caught with it.

I hope it's a slam. Insanity of 170 coaching changes since Ruff was hired?

The biggest danger the Sabres face now, as far as their future is concerned, is the parade of crappy backup goalies theyr're going to see much of from here on in. If you're not gonna rest your starter while playing the 14th or 15th ranked team, then when will you rest him? So, I expect them to pick up enough wins in the next month to do damage to their pick.

Unfortunately, this will likely result in the Sabres finishing in 10th or so. That's not gonna help.

At the game.... Nice 1st period .... Looks familiar.

Ruff probably won't have an answer the the Pens counter attack in the 2nd and 3rd. Surprise surprise.

4-2 Pens

We make opposing backup goalies look like Vezina candidates, it's all good.

Brent Johnson: God's gift to the Buffalo Sabres.

Seriously, I wonder what Bylsma's though process was on that one...

"OK, I have two goalies. Stats against Buffalo:

11-4-2, .909, 2.62 GAA
6-4-0, .873, 3.60 GAA

I know! Lets choose goalie B!!"

(to be fair, I didn't know Fleury's stats against Buffalo weren't that great...must be because of those early years in his career, I'm sure if I just used his last 10 games [to match Johnson's total], it would be much, much stronger)

Fleury played against Philly yesterday. As I said in an earlier post, if you're not gonna rest your starter against one of the bottom teams, when will you rest him?

It doesn't matter to me either way, just figured we needed a thread.

Tough break. One on hand, you don't want Sekera skating in front of the net when nobody else is there.

On the other hand, you don't want him standing still and having the guy on the far side wide open in the case of a pass.
