I don't think Sanchez or Tebow are good QB's but the one thing that IMO seperates these 2 guys is that Tebow (for whatever reason) can make people believe they are going to win the game. He is without a doubt a leader and willing to do whatever it takes and people seem to follow him into battle. You look at some of the names on that Denver defense last year (Champ Bailey, Dumervil) that stood behind this guy during there run last year.
That being said, I'm a Giant fan and hope we kill both QB's tonight. Rex Ryan can suck it
The Jets still didn't fix their biggest problem and that is the Right Tackle. Wayne Hunter should not be on the field. It's pretty pathetic that Sanchez has 1 second to throw the ball and the only time they could go deep is on a bootleg. Everyone says how bad Sanchez is, but they forget to mention how bad the running game has been. Shonn Greene is not a #1 back, he's a decent #2. I think the defense will be pretty good with the additions of Bell and Landry, but they still need to get a pass rush going.
I think that the drama is very overhyped. Tebow's not as good as Sanchez. Sanchez's isn't a great starter by any means, but he's absolutely superior than Sanchez. Tebow however is a great third and short/fourth an inchesm type of situation. He's good enough to step in for a game or two from injuries or what have you not, but he's VERY overrated. (Coming from a diehard Gators fan).
edit: running QBs can be good at times, but never are able to go all the way, or THAT far in the playoffs. Because as soon as they hit a good defense that can stop the run-they're not able to throw. Look at Vick, even though he's improved his throwing the past few seasons-he's still a disappointment.
Vick always had a cannon of an arm, Tebow never had a good arm. Vick improved his accuracy recently.
I went to the game last night and although there really wasn't anything positive from a Jets perspective, the one guy that impressed me was LaRon Landry. He had the one INT and had a big hit on Cruz early in the game. The deffense in general looked pretty good.
The biggest downfall for this team is depth. No depth at reciever, running back or o-line. I know Sanchez isn't the greatest QB but I can't blame him when the team puts no players around him. He already had problems with Holmes last season and now you're trying to pair him with a rookie wide reciever and a couple other guys that shouldn't even be #3 recievers on the team. He's had 4 different groups of recievers to work with in each of his first 4 NFL seasons. Now you're bringing in Tebow and taking snaps away from him. Its like they don't even care how much they set him back.

Holmes, Kerley, and Schilens didn't play yesterday.
And the players that replaced them are garbage, thus no depth .
I actually think WRs is a pretty overrated position. A good QB will make any receiver look good if they have the right chemistry.
In my opinion thats the biggest problem with this team. Sanchez has had 4 different sets of receivers since being in the NFL. He's had no chance to build any sort of chemistry with anyone.
My boys Tebow and Sanchez, did ok, fine, Comme ci comme ça.
I do know that this probably will go wrong sometime during the season, where I will get angry and somehow say "Bible Thumper" and "Dirty Sanchez" in the same sentence.
My half brother is a Bills fan, so today was sweet. Although other than their improved D-line the Bills will probably have a long year. Next few weeks are make or break with the Jets.
Nice game by the the offensive-line, Sanchez, and his receivers. Kerley's catch was money. I like Hill's ability both to post-up and hit deep. There's only one corner who can cover a receiver who can do both consistently (like B. Marshall and H. Nicks), and he's on the Jets.
All that said, I think we really need to chalk that win up to Tebow making the guys really have faith in themselves.
traveled down here to miami for todays game... tons of jet fans in the stands... i have to say it was a messy but exciting game but the air completely went out of my sails when Revis went down.. we are so bad in the secondary without him and it changes our ability to blitz and limits our D schemes... we may have won the battle today but i think we may be in for a long season unless someone really steps up..
also, i have generally been in sanchez's corner in the past but I think that ship has sailed... I have no idea how after 4 years he has not fixed the fact that he consistently under throws receivers in their slant patterns or Running backs coming out of the backfield while he also overthrows wide open receivers downfield (i don't blame him for the one at the goal line as he had massive pressure in his face but his accuracy was atrocious today)
I know I should be happy with the win but looking at the big picture I can't be my normally optimistic self. San Fran and Houston the next two weeks... time to circle the wagons and hope guys step up
-Sanchez needs to get rid of the ball quicker, he was getting good protection.
-WR's need to do a better job of getting open.
-Hill needs to learn how to catch with his hands and not his body.
-Defense needs to get a pass rush (been saying this for too long).
The lockout has sent me back to the NFL after yrs of being a very casual fan, watching 1-2 Jets games a season and the Superbowl.
I'm listening to the Jets/49ers game. This is the 3rd Jets game of the season I've listened to and I'm still having trouble figuring out why the fuss over Sanchez.

He's just not a good qb. He makes bad throws when he is pressured and I think they would be better off drafting a qb this draft (geno smith or Barkley) I'm a a giant fan though so I think it's hilarious
the team makes too many mistakes and takes too many bad penalties at inopportune times to be a good team... this game was theirs to have... Sanchez def needs some tinkering with his inner clock... on the bright side, the AFC is mediocre, the Pats are no longer super men and the schedule eases up a bit in the second half of the season... but a super bowl team they are not.
