'Dogs fall to the 'Cats

Another upset....

Top seeded Minnesota-Duluth falls to Vermont at the DECC 3-2 earlier tonight. Are you kidding me?!

HERE is the whole story. (No, I didn't see the game. Sorry folks).

So basically, if your ranked #1 in the country, your going to lose the following week. It's happened every week so far. Michigan, BC, UND, and now UMD.

To me, it shows there is no clear cut #1 as of right now. Just a group of very good teams.

BC being #1? I was thinking Michigan but if BC sweeps then that certainly could be a possibility.

I watched the BC game last night. Very sloppy game on both sides. Too many defensive give aways. Bertrum was awesome. If he keeps playing like that he will be the second pick after Crosby.

Last nights game was a 2-2 tie. Again, I will emphasize that Joe Fallon is friggin awesome. He had 29 saves in the upset win, and 40 saves last night. I am so glad this kid is on the team, because he is going to be a great rock for the team as they improve, and move into the Hockey East. Hopefully this gives the team a boost for a while and they can grab some conference wins, and keep games against teams like UNH and UMass close. In the upset the other night, the Cats did everything that they had basically not done all season thus far; they capitalized on the PP. Hopefully they have figured out something, and will be able to take advantage of the many PP opprotunities that they get.
