unless LA takes Martin back (which isnt going to happen) Pens cannot afford him and dont have the room for him

LA will trade JJ for offensive help up front

Kennedy COULD play top 6, but no, they wouldn't accept that.

If JJ is moved it will be part of the package for Nash.

We don't really need him/couldn't afford him anyway, unless we move Martin. . .

Rank the following in order of awesomeness:

Kennedy, Tangradi, 2nd
Ryder, Halak, 2nd
Raymond, Ballard, 2nd
Kadri, MacArthur, 2nd

LA would want a bonafide, young top-6 forward with some term control.

Edit: ugh, i can't type.

We have enough overpaid, under-performing defenders as it is.

It's called team needs man. And I'm a ducks fan who hates JJ with a passion.

Team needs > value. That's what it comes down to when a player doesn't have to be moved.

Would take a surefire top 6'er.

Neal comes to mind as a player who works value wise, but he doesn't make sense for multiple reasons.

1) We don't need and shouldn't want JJ.

2) Awful proposal.

3) +/- is a terrible stat to use when trying to de-value someone.

How about Penner, Thomas Hickey and a 3rd round pick for Brooks Orpik???

Now you know how Kings fans feel.

Terrible trading partners. The Pens have spent a lot of time trying to get wingers for their centers, and we have been doing the exact same thing. If we trade someone like Johnson, we wouldn't be looking for defense in return, our depth chart is beyond ridiculous when it comes to defense, we would be looking for someone just like Neal. Which is impossible. We are looking for the deal that the Pens made with Dallas. We've obviously had different successes, but we are very similar teams. We have defense, goaltender, and centers. The problem is capable wingers, and that is all we desire.

I would actually like to have Jack Johnson on the Pens. He would bring that nastiness that the Pens blueline could use. He also brings some offensive ability which, again, is something the blueline could use. I think he'd flourish in Dan Bylsma's system.

Pittsburgh doesn't have an NHL winger they can part with, they probably don't want to trade their 1st rounder with the draft being in Pittsburgh, and their only top 6 winger prospects are still 2-3 years away.

It's just not feasible for Pittsburgh though, unless it were a blockbuster type deal along the lines of Martin, Kennedy, Bennett for Johnson +.

If you don't know what makes him so valuable, then you shouldn't be doing proposals for his services.
