Since we are not talking about trading one for the other, how about we agree that they are both very good young defensemen?

Nope, still a Leafs vs Rangers thread...
See, just because it's a thread about Nash, it doesn't mean every post has to talk about him.

We're comparing two players who could be potential returns for him. As far as I'm concerned, that's still on topic regarding the Nash trade.

It's funny how you call out people for not watching Gardiner, yet, you ever having watched Del Zotto outside of a Rangers/Leafs game is questionable at best.
As NYR1967 said, let's just agree, they're both very good young Dmen and have bright futures in the game and it's very unlikely either are getting traded because their team's love them.

I completely agree with you.

I'm not saying one is better than the other anywhere in my post.

All I'm saying is that the idea that they don't even compare is asinine.

They are both very good young D, capable in their own ends, and excellent puck movers. Both have top pair potential.

EDIT: Not completely agree with you, but we'll leave that for another day

Keep it on the Nash topic. Not Gardiner v MDZ. Keep it on the posts, not the posters. Guys, relax.

Thats crazy. Rangers nor the Leafs will give up MDZ or Gardiner along with three other big time peices for Nash. Not happening. Thats nuts!

The more this lingers, the more tempted Wilson is I think. If the East Coast teams bow out, and it comes down to SJ vs LA, I have this feeling Wilson gets him. Wilson usually gets his guy, Lombardi generally gets trigger shy.

Won't speculate on the package, but I trust DW.
