In the 1st round when they're the #1 seed and we're the 8th seed? We're probably not even gonna make the playoffs. The Pacific division went from strongest/2nd strongest to mediocre.

Niemi can be maddening. He makes great saves and lets in really weak goals. I know every goalie does that, but he seems to let in weak goals more than other starters.

so someone already asked, and some sarcastically answered, but who did get hurt today?

Vlasic, Pavelski and White, but Pavelski did come back after being checked out for a concussion

Vlasic got a puck deflected into his visor, which sliced open (broke?) his nose. He was leaking pretty bad, and didn't come back to the bench.

Pavs went down to block a Lidstrom shot, but instead blocked it with the side of his head.

White got a puck to the knee and went off for a while. Can't recall if he came back or not.

Been saying this for this whole year.

Usually I get a lot of people jumping down my throat saying he's a fantastic goalie...yeah no.

After last years playoffs and his terrible goaltending and GAA.. I lost all faith in him.

Vlasic got his face rearranged by a puck off Boyle's skate. Pavelski took one off the temple blocking a shot and missed a chunk of the 3rd when we really needed him. White took one off the knee I believe.

But contrary to popular belief, White was not a good defenseman once before taking said puck to the knee.

Serious question, Do you feel the Wings played a good game today. I don't think that was their best performance. Sharks stunk it up worse but I felt like both teams other than McDonald were kind of blah today.

One thing I noticed is when Nemo is playing with confidence he's standing up straighter in his crease. Today, and the past couple of games, he has been in that beginning of last year crouch.

He's just hit a bad stretch. Nabby went through tons of them. He'll snap out of it

It's all apart of the plan. Every year the Sharks turn it on down the stretch and run out of gas in the playoffs... This year, they're waiting until April.

We're not going out in round 1. Everyone needs to relax a bit. We lost a 1 goal game to the hottest team in the league (w/o our best defenseman for half of it).

three 1 goal losses in a row and fans wanna burn the house down.. just take a deep breath.

Looked like a regular Red Wings game to me. Dangerous with the puck but at this time our puck possession game is superior (if executed properly). They got several very fortunate bounces and the Sharks were further done in by injury.

I really don't think the Wings played a great game. I think they almost expected to lose, and when MacDonald started playing out of his mind, they decided that they may as well sorta try. If not for MacDonald, they Sharks win this pretty easily.

Anyway, so if this is our 6-game losing streak like last year, that means that we should be on par to start kicking ass in the playoffs this year, instead of the month before the playoffs.

I won't relax if we face Detroit, St.Louis, Vancouver, Chicago or Nashville in the playoffs.

those teams are scary.

Even at his best Barry Niemi needs a really good defense around him, something the Sharks dont have.
