Would the Habs win a Cup with Lecavalier? The Lightning added Stamkos to Lecavalier and St-Louis yet aren't within sight of another championship.

Huberdeau is probably the best Q native guy in a lot of time, maybe since Vinny Lecavalier. He just has a great attitude and he is "clutch" like no other since a few years (See playoffs, memorial cup, world juniors). I think he's a special player and reminds me of Jonathan Toews when it comes to have a great game at the right time.
I read from an unreliable source that Gauthier is looking at Paul Stastny and I like the idea as long as it's not Plekanec in the package for him.

I think Eller + Weber + 2nd isn't too far off of getting Statsny and Subban + 1st may be a slight over-payment for Johnson but balances the deal in it's entirety out. Fill the 'XXX' with UFAs like Shane Doan, Zenon Konopka and perhaps someone like Wideman on D and hopefully we draft high enough this year to land either Grigorenko or Galchenyuk, could leave us with a team looking something like this next year, pending some contracts moving, like Kaberle, Gomez, etc.

Why would we add to Subban to downgrade. The only thing Johnson has over him is that he was picked 1st overall, everything else says Subban is the more effective defensive defenceman. Subban plays tougher minutes and gives better results considering the fact that Johnson gets sheltered zone start. I wouln't give Subban + for a D that gets sheltered by Ryan freaking O'Byrne. 58.1 % ozone start but 48% ozone finish... I don't think people actually realise how good Subban is.
Kaberle will only be dealt if we add a young player or draft pick to the deal, same with Gomez so I say we hang on to Kaberle for next season to play on the PP with Markov but let Gomez walk in the form of a buy out, sending him to the minors or just sending him anywhere for a 7th round draft pick.
I don't think people actually realise how good Subban is.
