The way he dodged the question about whether it had anything to do with his previous injury leads me to believe it's the same thing.

Well if it's concussion again, 2nd time trying to comeback I would say he gets shut down for the year.

Agreed ,, As much as it would hurt Hawks for playoffs it has to be done

Hammer's health is more important then trying to force him back

I wondered if that blown coverage on the first goal against had anything to do with his concussion issues. Hjalmarsson looked like he didn't want to have anything to do with checking the guy.

Montador is practicing with the team this morning.

Getting Monty back would be huge. It might mean sitting Dylan Olsen, but it would also mean a better defence.

Montador is better than Olsen, but Olsen is better than O'Donnell and Lepisto.

Keith-Seabrook
Leddy-Oduya
Hjalmarsson-Montador
Olsen

So, it wasn't just a workout, but he actually practiced with contact and everything?

Even with Montador practicing (if he's even participating in full-practice), he won't be back until the final few games. This practice is likely just to see if he can handle the rigors of a game... and he'll have a few more of those if he think he's ready just to be sure.

Still though, great news. Means a much better defense for us.

Olsen has filled in about as well as could be expected for a tough situation. He'll never be an allstar but he showed he can at least hang with the big boys.

I wish he would punish more people though. I thought he was supposed to be a hardnosed hitter. Seen precious little of that.

Olsen was good enough for me, but getting Monty back for the last few games and POs would be huge.
