Jerry Sloan

Doc Rivers

Just to name a few. You know, people that actually make you play both ends of the floor. I don't give a crap about the rest of this season. Let Woodson finish it up and then go after one of the big guys.

Oh boy. Jerry and 2 stars that refuse to play D. Should be fun.

I think the Knicks fans that I talked to wanted Sloan because he is a no non-sense type of coach. If you don't play hard you don't play. MDA didn't have the guts to sit his stars to send a message. I think Sloan would do a great job of instituting an effort-filled team.

I think this wreck of a team needs a tough cough to push them.

This is what Melo wanted. There is a reason the team was successful without him in the line-up. There is a reason the team was good with Amare and the rest of the core last season. Now, it's Melo's time to put up or get shown the door. He's got all of NY looking at him now. Woodson to me, can't do worse than what is going on right now. He won't be considered a scapegoat, that guy (D'Antoni) is gone now. It's win or gtfo now.

Absolutely. That's why there'll be fireworks if he was to get the job. Him, Amare and Melo will not mix.

The Blazers are a joke. Let's see the Knicks do this to Indiana and maybe I'll have faith.

Oh BOY, would I love Sloan for that reason. GREAT coach, who can adapt his strategy and demands defense and accountability above all else. Don't think he would come hereafter the D-Will situation due to the similarities with Melo, however.

My hope is that Phil decides he's got nothing left to lose in his last gig and takes the job. I don't think there's a great chance, but there's a chance. If he does, it'll be on his - and his 11 rings' - terms. I guarantee you there's an anti-defamation clause in every contract MSG hands out and when they put it in front of Phil, he'll say "strike that clause - or no deal." Man, how much fun would THAT be?

Yessir. Sloan has coached the most selfless and humble teams in NBA history. In Utah no less. He would turn down the Knicks job before it was even rumored to be his.

Well good, as long as I don't have to watch this excuse for what constitutes a "superstar" in the league today.

This Dwight situation is a damn mess.

First he says he'll pick up his option for next year then now he's told Magic FO he won't. Looks like he'll be traded by tomorrow's deadline. Probably Nets.

Not such a mess. As hard as he's tried to play this attention grabbing indecisive game, I think he'll end up with the Nets, like we knew all along. The Magic have to try and do what the Cavs did. Suck hard for one season, get a top 2 pick, and you're in business to some degree.

I'm so sick of this free agency business. Leave your small market, mid market teams if you must, but don't make it a show. The league is the best it has been in over a decade right now, in terms of the sport itself on the court. Let that be the story, not your season-long The Decision. I already figured out where you're most likely taking your talents to, and I don't really care. I just want to watch good ball.

Hence, a mess.

Howard staying in Orlando. He said all the right things or said nothing.

The anti-Lebron.

And he still dodge questions on him staying in Orlando long term.

The guy is still a clown. He's going to demand a trade this summer unless they win a title. His whole agenda is so obvious. I'd respect him more if he said he'll sign an extension this summer when eligible.

It's going to be this same circus all over again next season.

That's his right. He didnt make a spectacle out of the whole thing. The media broached the subject (rightfully so).

He's been with Orlando for 8 years. His agent has been doing most of the talking. Howard has done nothing wrong. He wants to win.

Top-3 protected, but it's still the 6th-10th overall pick. I wish the Nets the best of luck.

Billy King is not that good.

How do you give away your lottery pick in this deep deep draft?

I'm a huge G Wallace fan. One of my favorite players in the league. That said, this is a big risk by the Nets. They could have just kept sucking and ended up with a decent pick and gotten another young building block.

On the other hand, with Wallace, they'll probably surpass Detroit and Cleveland, and be in there battling with the Knicks and the Bucks, while Portland and Golden State figure to slip in the standings, so perhaps that pick ends up being closer to 10th-15th, in which case it is a reasonable deal.

Still think Howard will leave Orlando eventually. No one is going to help them unload Turkoglu's contract. How will they improve their team?

Shocked by the Nene trade. Not a big fan of McGee, but perhaps Karl can get some offensive knowledge into the kid. McGee is right up there with Anthony and JR Smith on the NBA All-Poor Decision Makers squad.

It's a future first round pick.

Also, Nick Young to the Clippers for Brian Cook and a pick? That's absolutely ridiculous. Young is an awesome young player and an LA native.

No NCAA talk? You guys are nuts. Great games so far. Syracuse got lucky with some gift calls in the end. Almost a 1-16 upset.

UCONN getting deeeeeemolished.
