According to Isola, Shumpert has a Sprained right ankle but thinks he'll be ready for Sunday

With Dwight now possibly out for remainder of season, Knicks could jump into 6th spot.

Quietly, the Knicks clinched a playoff spot tonight with the Bucks' loss.

I think that's a big deal. This team was going nowhere fast.

The Knicks went 9-4 with Melo leading the way and Lin and Amare hurt, including two huge wins over the Bucks.

Melo's averaging 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in April.

Knicks are 15-5 under Woodson.

With Dwight now def out for the season, wonder if the Knicks can catch Orlando? Magic have a tough schedule outside of Charlotte, and I really think the Knicks could go 4-0 to finish the season.

Don't think ORL is dropping all 4, since they play the Bobcats.

However, increasing our chances of second round ball by missing the Heat would be good since Lin will be back.

Well guess the Knicks aren't going 4-0, disgusting getting out rebounded like that.

I didn't watch the game, but is it a coincidence that they lose when Stat comes back?

I love this team. Huuuuge win in Atlanta.

Looking forward to the playoffs because I actually think they win a playoff game for the first time in 850934805 years.

Baby steps.

Yeah been waiting for this for years. Playoffs shoudl be fun, not expecting anythign special, but to win a few games and force a game 7 and scare the **** out of miami or chicago, that would be really fun.

Next year is the year, make a few moves, I would love for woodson to come back, but if Dolan and Co. could get Phil, that would be great, rather then that I dont want anyone else rather then Woodson.

Woodson certainly earned a return trip back next season.

They might run into issues keeping Lin , who will probably get offered the world to play elsewhere, but the Knicks are a legit 35-min a game point guard from being one of the top teams in the NBA.

16-6 under Woodson, with road wins against Indiana, Milwaukee, Philly, Atlanta and Orlando.

They can keep Lin for at least one more season. Maybe more depending on what contract he signs in the offseason. Larry Coon has tweeted about it several times.

Is the Lin thing something like a team can only offer the mid level for next year, but can give him more money the following years? You have to figure Brooklyn could do that if they lose Deron?

Wait, I heard rumors Prokhorov was going to go hard for him/ Were they talking about this season or next?

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

Is he a UFA or not?

I'm not entirely sure but I think the Knicks safely have him with their MLE next year because of the Gilbert Arenas rule or whatever it is.

Yup.

He's an RFA btw, not a UFA, so he's really under their control. Knicks can match any offer, but if it's over like 2 mill or so I believe, it will then tie into their MLE. The Knicks can still match any offer, but if it's let's say 4/40 (first two years have to be MLE, so contract then is backloaded), it will then run them over the luxury tax.

Dolan isn't letting him get away.

I had a question on NBA jerseys.
Which one is a better fit to wear if washing a car/exercising in the gym?

The authentic/replica/adidas/or swingman?

Knicks get the 7 with a win tomorrow or Philly loss tomorrow. Looking like Knicks/Heat first round.

Who knows what Woodson does tonight. I think Charlotte is so bad, that even if he tried to lose and play the bottom-5, they still win.

If Woodson wants to know how to lose to the worst team in NBA history, he should give Mike Dantoni a call for advice

BTW, Melo is averaging his highest assist per game average since 2007. At home, he's averaging 4.0 assists per game

Knicks sealing the No. 7 seed, a date with Miami and make the Bobcats the worst team in NBA history.

Well, about to happen anyway. Knicks by 15 with 9 mins to go.
