sloppy sloppy sloppy. feels like they changed their game up a lot. I don't see Lin being as aggressive as he was in previous games which was the biggest factor in getting attention away from his teammates and getting them open.
Lin and Chandler have done everything to try to bring them back and all the two "stars" keep doing is play matador defense, and in Melo's case, take bad shots and turn the ball over.
They changed the game drastically. Lin has to play more and not differ to these guys who aren't even in shape. And it's not just Carmelo. Stoudemire has been awful. And Tyson Chandler needs to be smarter than that. One game dudes. You're not gonna win them all. It's gonna be a work in progress to figure this out. But one thing is clear, Lin is the most important player on the team. I'm sorry but tonight proves it. Oh and Shumpert's defense SORELY missed today.
How does tonight prove Lin is the most important player? We got embarrassed and went on a 13-3 run in the 4th without him. If anything it proves how important defense is.
I agree, it shows we need D. Shumps D has been big, and right now Chandler is the only one on the court who knows what defense is.

Agreed.
Shumpert's perimeter defense was sorely missed tonight.
This was Nets Finals. They got up to play the Knicks + Knicks missed shots + Bad officiating = Loss
Chandler getting into foul trouble so early also sucked. I noticed everytime Lin passed to Melo, the flow just stopped. There were a few times i saw some good ball movement but overall compared to the last handful of games, as a team, they did not move the ball very well.
I wonder why he opted to play Melo 37 mins tonight.
Anyway, watching Melo and Amare struggle, Richards go through stretches of invisibility, the sad sack crew of Redden, Drury and Gomez, and the God-awful production from texeira and Burnett, really makes me appreciate Eli Manning.
It didnt happen overnight, but it's nice to see one of the highest paid players in his respective sport actually earn his paycheck and deliver championships in the toughest city to do so.
Lin was sat down and the Knicks blew the huge lead for the second consecutive night. When he came back they never recovered, he was gased and differing to Carmelo and friends too much who kept missing shots and slowing down the offense. That 13-3 at the end was misleading. Absolute garbage time numbers. This was clearly a blowout.
