Lowercases Vs The Rene Dorks - Verizon - 2-24-12 - 7pm

Didnt see a GDT yet, and I am bored waiting for a crew to finish at work so what the hay?

My expectations are low for tonight. I do hope Big John gets a sweater so he can visit with our friend Rene properly. In the end though:

JUST ****ING WIN!!!

GDT is not showing up in the title for me. I did select that prefix while creating the thread. Must be an iPhone thing. If a MOD can fix that I would appreciate it.

Also, Elliot in the Morning gave our pal Rene a welcome to DC call this morning just before 7:30. Diane screwed it up, but ultimately it had the desired affect. Those folk working the phones at the Ritz are pretty clueless.

The whole team gets a healthy scratch. The Bears are all called up to play. They suck, too.

Caps win 3-2, Dale blames Holtby for the two goals again.

Using Hunter's logic to bench Hamrlik the following will be scratced..............

Because of Penalties in Carolina and Ottawa...........(does not include majors)

Green
Wideman
Alzner
Knuble
Brouwer
Perreault
Hendricks

C'mon Dale............at least Hamr threw a hit and an elbow for a penalty!

Because of poor D play in Carolina and Ottawa................

the whole team, I mean Hamr didn't play against Ottawa. Oh forgot.........it was all the goaltender. Nevermind those shorthanded opportunities Ottawa got.

C'mon lowercases..............win!

Hammer was brought in as a veteran presence on a young blue line. He's got a different standard to answer to. Part of being a veteran is not taking boneheaded penalties when you team is mounting a comeback.

Does anyone really think it was Dale's decision to bench Hammer right before the deadline?

Had a GM checked...........he would have known the history here. With any player comes a risk of penalties. Hamr's PIM's are not out of line with the rest of the team. Frankly and without looking.............he may be doing better in that department compared to other years.

The team hasn't been scoring regularly on the PP and the PK has gotten worse under Hunter. Hamrlik has been removed from the PK without being responsible for goals scored and doesn't get PP time. I've seen shorthanded opportunities left and right? Who's accountable there?

Some more players need to take responsibility. You wanna pin the Ottawa loss on Hamr too?

Whyno twitter: "Optional morning skate for #Caps, spokesman said. Semin, Laich, Wideman are players missing."

Commence with the rumors.

Who wants to be the one to bring this "tweet" to the Trades forum for the lulz?

If any decision made has a negative impact, it's George's fault, not Dale's.

To do it right, you have to leave out the optional skate portion.

A large majority of posters on this website don't know the difference between the words optical and optional, so either they will get confused and ignore the word completely or think that Semin and Wides have really good hockey "vision", boosting their trade value.

Are there any people who actually want us to lose?

I'm honestly in that boat as watching this team is seriously ****ing horrendous. I'm hoping we lose all the games before the deadline and get passed by the damn Whalers at Deadline time so we can trade all the disposable pieces for anything else. This team isn't going anywhere this year and let's just get a lottery pick.

Appears Hamrlik may be scratched again tonight as Johnson's working him hard in practice.

I'm pretty much not just for losing these next two games but doing it in an embrassing fashion to drive home the point the team needs to move in a different direction at all levels, personnel, coaching and general management.
