I don't get the Chicago or NYR deals. And No way Vancouver does that.

Eh, could be a decent value play potentially. More of a long-term move but he's shown flashes of pretty good vision and has even dropped the gloves a couple times this year.
Dropping the gloves is what derailed his career in the first place.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I like him and would gamble on him as a long term solution to 2C. It's not like there's anything better out there.

What does Columbus want? Is this a cap dump? I have a hard time believing it's a move to get younger/better. I'd give a first...but not ours or Colorado's. Whatever first we get back for Wideman.

Semin, Schultz, WSH 2nd to Chicago for a CHI 2013 1st or 2nd, Stalberg, Lepisto

Hamrlik, WSH 3rd to VAN for Hodgson, Van 4th

Wideman to NYR for NYR 3rd, Wolski or Zuccarello

Eklund, feel free to use this if you're trolling. This is an E5 for sure, you d0uche.
Washington doesn't have a 2nd. It went in the Arnott trade last year.

What teams are good fits for Knuble? I think we'd get a better return gambling on a prospect than taking a 4th rounder for him.

You think SJ would give Petrecki for him? He had great chemistry with Thornton on the Bs.

I thought it did, too, but i was too lazy to do the research, haha.

Wiz, i completely agree, but those are the kind of deals I could see GMGM trying to attempt in an effort to "fix" the problem with the team, and help Hunter out with his "method".

Hard to say. Not sure how high still are on him. Agreed on targeting prospects, though I think they need to target cheap young forwards. It's not out of the question they could actually upgrade their overall depth by selling off Hamrlik & Knuble under the circumstances.

Edit: Hemsky off the market. He took the 2x$5M offer.

No disrespect man but those are horrendous deals.....
Why would the Caps Lepisto back.....hes been a recent healthy scratch that no one wants
No way the Canucks deal Hodgson for Hamrlik
And Wolski is useless at this point in his career and can't even get a sniff into the Rangers lineup

Nick Kypreos ‏ @RealKyper
#SNtrade #Wild Zidlicky was asked to wave no-trade clause today for what's believed to be a move to the #Devils. Its appears to be imminent.

SportsnetSpec: @RealKyper Rangers won't be pleased. They like Zidlicky, esp if young Dman goes for Nash. #SNTrade

Further lining up a deal for Wideman potentially.

Devils officially announce trade. It's' Foster, Veilleux, Palmieri and Washington's 2012 2nd round pick for Marek Zidlicky.
Granted, Z controlled his own destiny with the NTC, but still, if that's the market for Dman I hope GMGM can get something done.

(not that I think any of those pieces are amazing, but neither is Z)

I feel the opposite. If we tried to make some futile run with this squad I'd be incensed. Before tonights game they were slotted to pick 9th in the draft. That's not a team that's going to be contending for squat. Any asset that can't be a part of winning the cup down the line should be sold for assets that might be able too, period. You're either winning now, or in the future. Well, we're not winning now. So lets try to win in the future.

If Zid got that, I have no doubt GMGM can get a ton for Hammer and Wideman

April is the future

I should clarify, selling without then buying, would bum me out. Sell buy is as close as he will come to a roster trade in 2 years. Sell Knuble and Hammer and try at least one friggin C pickup before waving the white towel. They made their plan to compete every year. We are two points out of 1st. I think making the playoffs every year IS the plan.

To me its all about George. I have lost confidence in him. So if he convinces Ted to sell only and we concede the season, George will be the same guy for 15 years now assembling our playoff team in July. I would like someone else to get a try. I want his job on the line, sink or swim, don't weasel out of failing this year. Be held accountable.

Terrible for Hawks

Stalberg is cheap and playing well while Semin will just leave for Russia/UFA and Schultz has terrible contract and is nothing more then a 6th/7th dman

Hawks need quality defenders. Schultz is not that. If Hawks pick him up it would be horrid move

I don't think I've ever seen you like a deal the Hawk were mentioned in.

Probably not many

On HF people's values for players are horrid (Same goes with regards to my proposals as well)

For example

Kane for Miller junk from last few weeks

Point being that Cap trade doesn't help Hawks at all. They take on a bad contract (Bad dman as well) , A guy who bolts as FA and downgrade our 1st to a 2nd

Not to mention Stalberg playing well and being cheap

Sharks fan here... Whats the current thought on Knuble? He's had an off year thats for sure, but could it also be a result of the teams struggles in general?

I would like him in SJ. I watched him a bunch on the Flyers and he always looked solid to me.
