Colorado's D was already pretty weak, do they really need another top 6 forward?
Even with Duchene back, Mueller is out and it seems like that David Jones could be moved. There's often seemingly a bottom line motivation at play for them so this isn't a great short-term move but long-term it could be a solid move in solidifying their style of play.
We'll see what else they do but they're probably not going to be traditional sellers. If they were they would have just taken the pick. Not sure they're better but they should be more entertaining. Fringe teams can use that emotion down the stretch provided it's channelled properly.
I'm pretty much convinced Suter will sign as a UFA with Tampa Bay now. They have money to go get a guy like him and need defensive help. They will get a goalie of decent caliber and we'll see a repeat of last year.
Blues say no easily...Let's just end this conversation here.
Really, because the Blues are quite "fat" right now in your fowards ranks. These type of trades are made for one team that's looking at their immediate future such as a playoff run while another team is looking a little further down the road.
Wideman alone gets a number 1 draft choice and more based on what d-men have been going for these last few days. Joel Ward and Mike Knuble provide forward depth which you are currently lacking, along with veteran and playoff experience.
