Jack Campbell to Edmonton

What would it take to get Campbell, from what I know he is stuck behind Lehtonen and Bachman in Dallas and might be a decent goaltending prospect that the Oilers desperately need.

The oilers need a goalie that can stop the puck for them right now

This, I don't think the Oil wants a Tendy with an uncertain future who could very well bust. Granted I know very little about him, I just think they need a surfire reliable goalie that can Get them out of the basement.

Bryzgalov might be available. He stops the puck like what, 90% of the time.

Joe Nieuwendyk probably wouldn't trade him for anything outside of one of the big three

And that would be followed by hysterical laughter and a dial tone.

Tambellni is horrible which is why the Oilers have nobody anyone would want outside the top 3. With maybe the exception of a grinder like Jones. Everyone else is garbage. Take it from a season ticket holder.

What about Jack Campbell to Boston or Vancouver?

The way I see it IF one of those two end up trading their NHL ready stud back ups to another team because Thomas/Luongo will start for the next 2+ seasons then a guy like Campbell who could very well be the next cory schnieder type goalie in 2 years giving Vancouver (or Boston) a starting goalie when thomas or luongo are ready to hang up/ arent up to being number 1.

jack is two seasons away from being ready in the NHL but like i said that could be perfect timing for those teams.

Would that be of interest to boston or the nucks?

Yeah but joe would ask for like Hodgson+1st+kesler for campbell, some crazy ass **** like that or Doug Hamilton+Seguin and to the poster above me he'd probably ask for Toews+kane

I think Bachman would be a better fit, especially with the way we've been playing Lehtonen so much.

But we'd need a backup coming back. Not someone to play 30+ games, just a game here and there.

But I'd want quite a bit. Would either Lander/Omark + Dubnyk (add a 5th if it's Omark) work?

Saad would be a nice addition to our prospect pool.

McNeill would probably look even better.

But we'd need a bit more, as if we wanted McNeill, we would've taken him.

Just because we didn't take him doesnt mean we didnt want McNeill, it just means we wanted at least Oleksiak more.

Hmmm a 3 way trade sending rask/Schneider to oil town and Campbell to van/bos would be very interesting, possibly if one of them wanted to grab hemsky for another cup run?

GMJN won't trade Campbell, or he'll look like an even bigger idiot for picking him instead of Gormley or Fowler.

Over Khabs? Lol, no. You might want to look at Khabibulin's #'s.

Anyways, Oilers should be more interested in finding legit top 4 defensemen that can help.

If a team offered him a young top 6 center, yeah he would because right now Lehtonen looks like the guy for now and the future, Campbell could still be a future #1 or a damn good trade chip to land the player they really need.

Best case scenario, they end up in a Boston situation with a #1A/#1B tandem, worst case, Lehtonen stays as the #1 with a solid back-up and Jack is traded for a potential top 6 center (closer to NHL ready I mean).

The Oilers don't need more goalie prospects, we already have Tyler Bunz, who is a very, very good prospect, and a couple of boom or bust guys in Olivier Roy and Samu Perhonen. We need goaltending for next season.

Why? Maybe he could keep Lovejoy warm in the press box, he wouldn't be better than any of the guys the Pens currently dress.

Oh wait, did you think I was an Oilers fan or something? Lol.

You guys are better off hoping Josh Harding tests the market and sign him to compete with Khabibulin for the #1 job. Or even trade for someone like Bishop from the Blues (he's probably ready to make a push for an NHL job).

Oilers are kind of screwed with Khabby for 1 more year after this season and the 35+ rule, but at least he's still putting up decent numbers, he hasn't been bad at all.
