I think he is at least 4 years away from wearing an LA jersey.
I am going to take a Wild guess and say , you have never seen Forbort play live have you ?

I have watched him many times on TV playing for North Dakota and in the WJC. If he is doing the "little things" that don't show up on TV then I am missing those. Right now he skates well and has a decent first pass but that is about it.

At his age, a good skating, good first pass defensive dman? I'll take that every day and twice on Sunday.

His stick work is pretty phenomenal for his age too.

Forbot has a Great Reach as well, He makes play's other D men would have to let the Forward go cause they can't reach the Puck.

Forbort can Reach that puck.

He needs more (Hit) to his game, but that will come with age. He was picked as a project. So let's not act like we didn't know he was going to take Four or Five years.

Proposals and rumors are one thing.

Speculating on the mind of J.Quick is another that and debating the merits of Loktionov could have their own threads.

Helene Elliott @helenenothelen
Kings D Jack Johnson says he doesn't pay attention to trade rumors. "It's kind of an annual thing for me now." Also denies rumor that he said he doesn't like/wouldn't play for Columbus. "People have said I said stuff like that w/other teams." He called that rumor false.

The flames need a centre and have a boat load of wingers (Tanquay, Commeau, Cammil, Glencrose)
It would be nice if we could get Commeau or maybe package someone with Stoll to get Glencrose.
I know Glencrose is streaky but that means he at least scored some of the time. Also he has speed that we need. Plus sutter knows his skill set and how to use him so he can step right in.
Thoughts?

I don't think a trade between two teams tied in the standings for the final playoff position is going to happen.

Exactly, especially when the coach for one team is the last GM for the other, giving him a possible advantage on using the players he'd acquire.

Agreed. Both GMs would be knowingly putting their own heads on the chopping block by making such a trade in that kind of circumstance.

Wow, and Bobby Mac just said this as well:

DET also trades minor leaguer Sebastien Piche to TB as part of the Kyle Quincey trade.
