It's gotta be a motivation issue. Kadri has done everything the team has asked of him in the AHL. Then each time he gets a callup, they put him with scrubs like Armstrong and he doesnt produce. So they send him back down. Whats the kid to do?
This is the problem when waiver concerns and nonsense trump a meritocracy...
Anyways, i think kadri will bust sorry guys if he was good dont you think he would be up here over lombardi, crabb, boyce, etc?
According to this theory Colborne and Frattin are busts for the very same reason, and Blacker and Holzer's are busts because they can't outplay Komisarek.
Way to optimistic...
There are some prospect I just really like and it is hard to ignore (Nicholls, Granberg)
and others i don't really expect to go anywhere, but I am really cheering for them(Carrick)
I really think MacWilliam is a total darkhorse for that 6/7 shut down role. In general that is my favourite aspect of our prospect pool now vs. depleted past. We have 20 prospects not on our top 20 that would of been in the top 20 3 or 4 years ago. I also love the amount of long term darkhorse picks we have

its good to see finally other people realize there are lot of dark horse prospect, there potential is there, but it depends on how we and they develop themselves to that path
Was not a love for the pick so for many it is prove to me it was the correct choice.
I don't think he has proven it yet, but look at Tlusty, he'd definitely be an asset to the Leafs today. When you are not a superior talent you have to put in your time and develop into a NHL player. I'm not sure Kadri will be with the Leafs long enough to prove it.
Please show me one post of yours that stated we made a mistake letting Tlusty go before two weeks ago.

Hey, the search facility works do your own leg work newb. (j/k about the newb you 2008 come lately)
I was a Tlusty supporter since the beginning when eveyone was bailing on him because of the pictures ... unlike many posters here I did dumb things when I was younger, but there was no instant media.
A 7 second search:

If Tlusty doesn't have a good season this year he might be finished, if Frattin doesn't have a good season this year it is okay?

He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.
Yea, I pretty much thought *ockshow was gonna turn out to be what he has become, he just wasn't going to do it here, after the hoopla. Too bad, really. He's a good, hard working guy.
Frattin has been much better; even guys like Colborne and possibly Mueller have been better than Kadri
I've watched a few Marlie games the last month and I gotta say Kadri looks like he floates for a better part of the game. I agree that Frattin has been much better, the best player on the ice for the games I've attended. Colborne has been great at times too, his passing and vision is definatly NHL level, he could shot more though.

To me he looked like a complementary player you could use just about anywhere, but one that would be better with better linemates. He won't drag down a line, but he might never lead one. Lead, follow, or get out of the way ... he's a good follow / support type player.

Well, if you're going with meritocracy, Colborne, Mueller, Frattin, Zigomanis, Hamilton and Scott are all playing better than Kadri on the Marlies right now.
"Media is media, and you have to do your job," he said. "I guess the only thing I would say is that maybe you could be more patient with the young guys, because a lot of time you get better as you grow. Montreal is `win now,' and a lot of times kids are not ready to win now. So then you get impatient and trade them, and sometimes they come back in my situation where maybe they were traded too quick."

To add to that regarding some of our defensemen currently on our team that people want to ship out, Ken Holland in reference to Quincey said he was a player just coming into his prime at 26.
Also said it was a mistake they gave up on him so soon.
“If we could do it all over again, we’d make a different decision,” said Holland, who chose to keep Derek Meech over Quincey when the Wings had to choose between the two because of a roster crunch before the 2008-09 season.
