The red jerseys are boring -and the red in the arena in the seating areas is just as bland and a bit overwhelming in its sameness. But I like the Coyote head. And I liked the kachina logos and the old unis too so those who didn't - whatever.

I grew up in Chicago watching the Blackhawks and I loved their logo so I guess maybe the kachina head just appealed to me.

Too bad the seats are all red though - they could have been smarter about that and done something like the Cards did with their stadium or what some Nascar tracks have done for years with their stands - mix it up colorwise so if there's a gaping hole in a section due to the invisible fans attending - it doesn't stand out like a big red gaping hole.

I love the paw logo. The moon is also great. Why can't the coyote be inferred? We don't need some awful "wolf shirt" logo. A moon or a paw is cleaner and more grown up looking. It still gets the damn point across.

Look at the paw in LOLbarbras mask. Just white and red. Good primary logo in my opinion.

I could be down with that, it it was like the Tampa jersey except red with the paw.

It looks good on the sleeve but it would look horrible as a large, primary logo on the front of the sweater.

I respectfully disagree and feel they are both too simple and show an incredible lack of creativity.

I guess I just don't like that most NHL teams actual have a cartoon of whatever animal they are named after on their uniforms. Wolf shirt.

Do the Coyotes need to repurpose the three wolf moon shirt for their own purposes?

The old jerseys!

Ok guys, I think we are all in agreement that the old jerseys are WAY better than the Gretzky design. I say we start wearing the old jerseys when we go to games. Lets get this moving, and little by little we can get the word out and get people jumping on this. I'll be there tonight in my Briere jersey in section 109 row E, come say hey if you are at the game! LETS GO COYOTES!!!!

No, we can't all agree. I think you will find a lot of die hards, like the guys that post about hockey on internet message boards that love the nostalgic, original look. The newer set was supposed to have a broader range, and I believe it does. We just are struggling to cast that broader net for the dozen or so reasons that have been discussed to death in the ownership threads.

That said, if you guys who are passionate about the original set can make any kind of noise about it, more power to you. Whatever it takes to drum up interest in this playoff drive.

If the team were to come out on the ice in a 3-wolf shirt, there is no chance that they would lose, ever again. NO CHANCE. Because that shirt has magical powers. Other teams would see them coming out onto the ice during warmup and just give up. Don't believe me? Just read the reviews of that shirt at amazon.

far from agreeing with this. current jerseys are vastly superior. The old ones had nice trim. that's it.

say what you will about the old jerseys, they were original in design and color scheme. the teams new gear should try to go in that direction again. the current uni's were part of the "sedona red " unity push a few years back by the Az teams but everyone else has dumped them, we should as well. im still pushing for a sand storm or haboob theme instead of the white out as well.

Was there really a color unity push coming from the local pro teams? I don't remember that.

DBacks were world champions and didn't want to wear expansion team colors. Fair.

The Suns never changed colors.

Neither did the Cardinals.

I'm confused.

I'm not a big fan of the "old" unis. I like the new stuff, nice and clean and traditional. But then again, i'm and old guy

The old jerseys just had way to much going on, the southwestern trim, the kachina coyote, the mish mash of various colors...our current White Unis I consider to be in the top 5 in the league

The old jerseys were awesome. It was something unique and I really liked the black ones. I would be all for going back to those...amazing.

Yeah, I really like the Whites. So good.

The reds are a little too solid. They look a bit like pajamas. They need to break up the red a little more.

7-8 years ago when the d backs went red we did too and the cards shifted over from bright to darker red gear. they called it sedona red on the news . dont know why the suns didnt do it but thats what i remember.

Absolutely love our whites. I should invest in more because it is such a nice design. The reds could use a little break up

The Coyotes switched uniforms back in 2003. The D-Backs didn't until '07.

As far as I know the Cardinals have used "Cardinal" Red since they were in St. Louis. I don't believe that has ever changed.

The major change in 2005 was the actual bird logo. They put more black in and made it look "meaner". They also sharpened the word mark and added black to the accents on the uniform.

I'm not sure any of this had to do with any of the other teams. The Cards updated to sell merch. Same goes for the Dbacks and the Yotes. I'm pretty sure they all did it independently.
