Eaton Trade May Be Coming (Has NOT Asked for Trade)

I still wouldn't mind getting something like Sulzer and a 4th in return.

I do not think Eaton is the type of guy who asks for a trade. In addition, he's played his best hockey on the Island over the past twenty games.

He's a pretty devout guy too, so I think he'd be happy to finish out the season here and resign - if asked - to the same terms.

I'm not surprised he didn't ask for a trade. Seemed a little rash if he asked right after the Ottawa game. Still wouldn't be shocked to see him gone at the deadline.

exactly right. At this point, I don't see why he wouldn't be traded. Mind you, he's probably the best of the also-rans (Eaton, Jurcina, Staios, Mottau, Reese, Wishart) so you could make the case to sign him for 1-2 years. I happen to think Eaton is a capable #6-7 player at the right price.

You just cannot expect him to play 16-19minutes with another scrub and expect positive results.

The players, in large part, have been set-up to fail. So the failure we see is simply a result of the organization, not of the players.

Other than Kypreos, who himself isn't up to par with the TSN big guns (Dreger, McKenzie, LeBrun), Sportsnet has no one that has decent insider info it seems.
