Columbus-Tampa-LA

*Steve Mason to Tampa for Ryan Malone and a 2012 2nd

*Nash to the Kings for Brown, Bernier and another top King prospect.

-Columbus gets a new start in net with Bernier and new team identity with Malone and Brown.

-Kings finally get the goal scoring winger to play with Kopitar and or Richards.

-Tampa gets a young goalie that needs a fresh start and change of scenery.

I think all my proposals are fair value and meet each teams needs without gutting their core. What do you think? What team needs to add or subtract?

The Kings are trying to add Top six Forwards. Not trade them. You would have to remove Brown, try getting another D prospect or Center prospect.

Or a D roster player Like Jack.

So Tampa gets a Goalie who's just as bad as the one they have and give away a top-6+ a 2nd rounder?

No way does Tampa do this. Steve Mason is not their problem.

I remember only 4 years ago they were giving away Brad Richards for Mason+. And Richards actually agreed to be traded to Columbus. That were the Jackets who refused to give away Mason, so Tampa got Mike Smith.

Psh, then take him out of the deal lol Ill still take it. The Jackets would be lucky to get anything for Mason at this point.

Sometimes a change of scenery and a new coach does wonders for goalies. Mason is still young and Tampa would offer him a second chance.

Why would the kings give up their captain and a 25 goals scorer in Brown for a 30 goals scorer???

Not very well thought out.

Mason's last 3 years in Columbus look pretty much like Garon's. I think we'll pass and wait for the summer.

Mason is a black hole when it comes to value he just simply has none Tampa laughs at offering anything more than a bag of pucks for him.

I think you guys are over valuing Brown just because he's the captain. The Kings go where Kopitar takes them not Brown.

I like Mason...but he's not the answer to the goaltending problem, especially at the cost of Malone, who could be a very attractive piece in a package.

Mason could be the answer. He'll be cheaper than trading for Schneider or Bernier. Malone will suck to give up, but at least you get more money to work with during the off season to sign a replacement.

It would make more sense to cut Columbus out of this deal and center something from LA to Tampa around Bernier and Malone.
