That's going to be a problem come playoff . 3rd period down 2 forced to open up , lack of skill players / finishers going to hurt .
NYR having an off game but my concern is if NYR can't establish a fore check their lack of finish makes it hard to win from behind .
As pissed off and irrational as I am, you just take it to new heights. The Rangers have 14 regulation losses, 1 overtime loss, and 4 shootout losses. How's that half? How is the shootout going to determine anything come playoffs. If anything is going to be a negative come playoff time is this pop gun offense and overrated defense.

I'm listening to the Pittsburgh feed and Errey wouldn't stop talking about the Stepan save. They said Fleury is the most exciting goalie in the NHL.

That's because with a sub .910 save percentage it's exciting to see if he stops pucks or not.

It's so funny how you think getting Nash solves everything on offense.

Whenever the Rangers made a spirited comeback and win over the Penguins, it was the best.
Only down by 2.

LOL Fleury is def a showboat but he seems like a regular/chilled/funny dude in interviews and whatnot off the ice... Maybe him showboating makes him more confident during the game, who knows?

Considering Dubi forgot how to skate and flubs passes left and right, he'd be a pretty big upgrade.

A winnable game if they can start playing Rangers hockey.
We have two 4th lines and Steve Eminger. Some nIghts that is too much to overcome.

I like Fluery. I think he has an interesting personality that keeps the league from being too Vanilla, but boy can he sell a save.

I'll give us one in five odds to tie the game in the third.
I don't see any of these good things. We haven't played good defense and our offense has been atrocious. Sure there were games where the offense generated fewer chances (Dallas and St. Louis come to mind), but that's setting the bar very low. If you can't finish on chances that's not good offense.

Yeah, I'm a big Dubi fan myself and I would hate to lose him... but it's clear that we need someone else that can score goals and have scoring goals as their primary skill. It's just the cap hit... ugh.

My friend and I refer to MAF as " the V" because his mouth (+ weird facial hair) is perpetually shaped like a big V.

Fleury may be a showboat, but he is having a great game tonight thus far.

We are getting chances. Need to get more.

D needs to tighten up as well.

Well quality chances are an indicator of the swing of play, but as far as everything else that you said I agree.

However, McDonagh is an inch, maybe two away on his shot from this being in all likelihood a tie game right now. The Pens certainly haven't stuck it to us. Gaborik had a partial break broken up, and MAF has been rather steady in net.

We're almost never down 2 in the third, and most teams don't come back in those situations anyway. We've been a good comeback team though, and we've been a great team at holding leads.
