Today's GDT is brought to you by the letters, 'F' and 'U' and also by the number '6'.

So, I obviously know what the flu can do to a person...but does anyone think Nabokov still has it?

Thx for picking up the trash can idea and the Sesame Street theme, Law. Just awesome.

I'm hoping for a goal. That's all for today.

I am seriously doubting that he still has the "flu". Why would he not make the trip to Buffalo? Why does the so-called coach not know the health status of his main goalie?!?!? Why have reported negotiations with Nabokov started almost immediately after getting the "flu"?

I'm sorry folks, but he's gone. He will not be an Islander for much longer. If he has had the flu for 10 days and is still not well enough to travel with the team, either he needs to be in a hospital, he really isn't sick, or he simply has no desire to return to the ice.

Also, great GDT! I needed something to smile about.

I find it very hard to believe that Nabakov is faking the flu. He's a pro goalie and playing out of his mind as of late. I just don't get why he'd fake it, sure he can hold out until the deadline, but I honestly don't see that happening.

Well the Sesame Street theme seems appropriate. Our playoff chances are just like Snuffleluffagus, in that while some people claim to be able to see them, they don't really exist.

Awesome GDT Law.

Love the background screen with Cookie Monster & the logo. Might have to have him taking a bite out of it depending on the score tonight.

I hear a bunch of Isles fans are going up to Buffalo today, hopefully they'll bring some good luck with them.

I have the same problem. The torture of the late night disappointment, followed by the occasional not needed hangover, since I should have known it wasn't gonna be pretty.

I really think Capuano should go back to Poulin. Instill some confidence in him and he will be burning to make up for last game. I say start Poulin, especially since it wasn't like Montoya dominated after that.

I love this GDT. Cookie monster in the background eating an Isles logo.

Have finally given up on the season after yesterday, but I still hope they can finish the year strong and show some good progress. Who cares about draft picks.

It's not like you just bounce back from the flu and jump into action. Even if Naby started to feel better yesterday but wasn't 100% he wouldn't travel with the team. If the game was tomorrow and they left today, then maybe.

Poulin gets the nod. Capuano has the flu, Weight may make the decisions tonight (I'm just surmising, depending on whether Caps has Okposo flu or Nabokov flu ).

The image of Capuano sweating bullets on the toilet with the flu disturbs me greatly.

Poulin gets a shutout tonight.

Awesome GDT Law!

Hope Montoya is the starter tonight. If rust truly was what was holding him back, getting some playing time right now is what he needs to get rid of it. Team had better play better tonight, unless the whole team has the flu.

Poulin was already announced as the starter.

The season's already over so obviously the Islanders are going to win. I predict a shutout from Poulin who is inexplicably getting the nod over Montero. How long until spring training starts?
