He does. Mike McKenna had an active account until he was called up by the Devils last year. Some of the reporters picked up that a tweet of his (about driving to NJ) indicated that Brodeur was hurt and would be scratched. He went AWOL from Twitter shortly thereafter. McKenna denied it, but it's widely assumed that the team asked him not to tweet. After signing with the Ottawa organization in the summer, McKenna's feed magically reappeared.

He wouldn't talk to anyone that was defected from the Soviet Union, as I understand it. He saw them as national traitors and the like. He's now a very high ranking official in Russia, so you have to wonder if he was more afraid of what might happen to him if the Soviets ever decided it was a problem or if it was simply national pride? Crazy situations can make for some crazy people... But enough of this.
He was past his prime of course, but he was a solid player. I've heard people that have him seen him skate recently and they say he's still got the legs. He's just such a fantastic skater...
I'm pretty sure this is wrong. Fetisov was working extremely hard to overthrow the limitations put on sportsmen by the Soviet regime. Kasatonov was a passive party-line guy. Fetisov had to put up with all kinds of trouble, as did Larionov. Eventually during glasnost Fetisov was allowed to come to the NHL, years past his peak. Kasatonov took advantage of the changes Fetisov and co. had worked so hard for, despite opposing him at the time. They had once been close but fell out during the period of negotiating rights to free movement. Kasatonov did not defect. He took advantage of Fetisov's hard work and sacrifice. Mogilny did defect. The Soviet stance at the time was to allow players to move when past their peak. Mogilny was 19 at the time. His family was potentially endangered and it turned out to be unnecessary as his junior linemates Sergei Fedorov and Pavel Bure were allowed to move abroad within the year.
Sergei Priakhin was the first Soviet to be allowed to play in the NHL. He played for Calgary at the end of the 1988-89 season, on the cup winning team.

Reason: changed "russian" to "soviet" when referring to Priakhin.
I know he was born in Canada but does he have a Polish backround? Zajac I do believe is a Polish last name, any Polish New Jersey Devils fans that can answer this?
With Peter Harrold being called up the Devils roster stands at 24. Is there a date in the season at which the 23 man limit can be exceeded?
I think you miscounted somewhere. There were 18 skaters tonight and two goalies. With Boulton, Janssen and Volchenkov as scratches, that's 23 in total.

Larsson was scratched too, that's 24. Maybe they put Volch on retroactive IR.
Hi guys, Flyers Fan here coming in peace and seeking some help.
Firstly, Congratulations on making the playoffs and drawing the panthers.
Every year i make a playoff pool in which every player on every team is selected. There are always some fringe players who might play and might not play and since i am not so familiar with playoff teams other than the flyers it is always difficult to predict which players will dress for game one.
So if you could help me out, please give me the Game #1 playoff line up for your team (ie. Line 1, Line 2.. etc) including defensive lines.. it would be greatly appreciated.
How would you summarize his season? What do you expect for him for the playoffs and next season? What so you see his potential is?
To me he started the season well, looked solid and calm, made the right choices. Then played ok, down the stretch until Subbans hit and from thereon he hasn't regained his form and was actually scratched couple of times.
