This year Richards, didn't help.
It isn't. It's the entire second unit. John Mitchell being put into that position is the cherry on top. When your second PP unit is a conglomerate of third line forwards (Dubinsky, Boyle, Mitchell (or fourth liner in that case)), you know you have depth issues.

Nash is just as much of a "floater" as Dubinsky is, but he can actually be a difference when doing so because he doesn't have a 10 cent brain. This team's locker room is far too strong to collapse with the trade of one player. The difference between Dubinsky and Nash is not even measurable in terms of caliber.

I will not give more than a combination of dubisnky thomas mci a 1st and possibly st. Croix. If they want more we can tell them to ****off because no team will pay as much for that deal. I refuse to see Kreider Miller and Erixon go in that specific order.

He's going to be on a very young team with some solid additions from the Nash and Carter trades as well as a veyr legit 1st round pick.

Chris Kreider has done nothing but show that he wants his degree and to play in the NHL.

I doubt he would have a problem at all playing in Columbus, but the Rangers are not trading him so it's a moot point

What we pray Dubinsky to be when he reaches his potential is maybe half the player Nash is.

"Run in a video game"? Please. The team needs a player that can score goals on a relatively consistent basis.

They're professionals. I doubt removing a third line player will turn a 1st place team into a mediocre one. "Chemistry" is ridiculously overblown.

So we're going from a rangers dark ages mentality to a current rex ryan jets mentality. At least you're consistent in liking terrible mentalities. And Dubi grinds and plays D way better than Nash even dreams of. That's just fact.

Dubi is having a rough year, but you keep acting as if the world is ending after this year (mayan joke possiblities noted, save them). Dubi led the team offensively last year, we're a young team, it's not this year or bust. Although if we get nash that window closes a ton because that means we traded our best prospects and got a guy who carries one of the highest cap hits in the league.

Kreider and a 2nd for Lucic. That way we don't give him to Boston for free (which is likely to happen anyway)

It is painfully obvious that we need another scorer.

Go get me Rick Nash (or, alternatively, Bobby Ryan, if he's back on the market) for Brandon Dubinsky and a combination of prospects and picks that doesn't include Chris Kreider.

Thanks.

It's amazing we've managed to win any games this year without Nash.

That can't be because we need more grinders like Dubinsky.

The writing is, and has been, clearly on the wall that we need another scorer, some people just refuse to believe it unfortunately.

Working on it.

Here's where I am right now.

Dubi, Erixon, Thomas and a 1st.

Waiting for Mr. Howson to realize this is the best offer he's gonna get.

Should be any minute now.

Oh, forgot to mention that Ryan is not on the market anymore. Boudreau has that team responding, they are not trading anyone.

And yet he stills floats more than occasionally.

Again, trying to improve the team is a "terrible mentality"? I'm not suggesting Dubinsky/Kreider/MDZ/1st for Nash. I want Nash, but only if the price is right, and only if the only "major" roster player going to Columbus is Dubinsky.

It's more the norm that a "rough year". Dubinsky was getting fed 22, 23 minutes a night last season. On an elite hockey team, Dubinsky is NOT a key offensive contributor. He's a good third line player. That's more of a testament to the lack of offense on last year's team + injuries.

I'd rather have a 30+ goal scorer for $7.8M than a 9 goal scorer for $4.2M. I'd rather have a 60+ point player for $7.8M than a 45 point player for $4.2M. It's not as if we're talking about an elite hockey player. We're talking a borderline second line player.
