I don't want to see RC behind the bench after this season, its embarassing that we're getting outplayed game in and game out. The Habs are always one step behind the play whether it be in the offensive zone or defensive zone.

It's still only 1-0 though. All we need is a fluke bounce ourselves and it's a different game.

hehehe!!

The Montreal Canadiens traded D Chris Campoli and 2012 2nd draft pick to the Edmonton Oilers for future considerations.

Our 6 shots were all dangerous.

I know some nutbars would blame Price, but 16 shots!? This defense is the main reason this team sucks. Worst D corps I've seen on the Habs since 2000-01. Dandoullion has nothing on Ka-Ca that's for sure.

Unless the team can somehow get their **** together and turn it around in the 2nd, I'm glad I'm not at that game right now. No Plekanec really makes the Habs a one-line team so I'd be surprised to see too many goals tonight. Never know though!

He's the guy who scored his first career NHL goal against a garbage team.

Hey it could be worse, we could have the lead and blow it...hmmm...maybe a new strategy.

If you believe some, after 2 years of almost no hockey, Markov is the answer.

And we have some people who believe PG has done a "great" (yes, they said great) job.

Worst D corps in the league.

I agree, both defensively and offense, its very difficult for any team to generate anything without the play being started from the defence...hence our 6 shots.

Downie returning a 1st is hilarious if Kostitsyn doesn't return a late first at least gauthier would look like a fool.

The tank is coming wether you like it or not monday will actually be interesting since we will see the likes of AK Moen Campouri gone.

Stars have a horrible team but are still schooling us it's pathetic how we suck at the bell center.

well to be fair, if Gill got Mtl a second, Quincey was gonna garner a first. Quincey may be unknown to most but a guy who logs 22 minutes a night and can put up 30-40 points a year is gonna easily fetch that at the deadline. Thats better than what most of Mtl defenseman can do.

And Downie is good too if thats what you are referring. Im more shocked Colorado would trade Quincey for him, but Quincey for a first is about right.

@habsinsideout1:
Gruesome: #Habs had 6 shots on goal in first period. Only 1 blocked, only 2 missed = 9 total. #Stars: 15 shots, 5 blocked, 9 missed = 29

As bad as that sounds, it looks a whole lot uglier.

One thing is for sure, outside of a handful, if they arent taking offers for almost every single player, then Gauthier isnt doing his job. This team is pretty bad and few should be safe.

Not sure that's the best example to use, Downie is like 24 and he's actually a pretty good player, still has some upside too at that age. Detroit's first will be late and there is a huge drop off after the top 8-10 in the draft, if Downie was 30+ year old pending UFA, I might agree. And considering the state of their D, the better trade would have been to get Quincey.

My biggest worry is that PG will make a reactionary move after the game against the Stars tonight and we'll end up with more stupid long term contracts like Carter or worse...

But I thought getting rid of that floater Plekanec for Carter would solve all our problems.
