well looking at the schedule maybe the second minny game since there is 3 days off between the two

Ideally, we need Toews to come back for at least two games before the playoffs. He hasn't played in a while and the difference between game speed & practice is critical. Otherwise, by the time he gets his game back it may be too late.

I think he'll play the final three games. We have to see if we can squeeze a point out of the Nashville and St. Louis games and take care of business against Minnesota at least once.

Jonathan Toews skated for yet another day and the Blackhawks captain said he should be cleared for contact very soon.

“I’m tired in this moment, but very good,” Toews said. “I always like to say, every day, I’m getting more confident with where I’m at. I guess today would be another one of those days. I’m getting very, very close. Getting to this point and not playing is the toughest thing to do but at the same time it’s smart. I definitely need a few more days to see how it goes through this weekend and we’ll see where we’re at next week, I guess.”

Asked when he’ll be cleared for contact, Toews said, “if not today, it’ll be very soon.”

If all goes well, Toews could be playing again next week.

We were at the open practice Monday and he is definitely not in game shape yet, as he looked very winded after a short team workout, but I think playing a couple games before the playoffs will go a long way in helping him get his mojo back.

You need to get to ONE playoff game. Nothing in sports comes close to the atmosphere at a playoff hockey game.

Isn't that the truth? My first Hawks game was Game 3 of the WCF against San Jose. Nothing compares.
