When guys are going down from being physically man handled, the target can't get any bigger. You have to fight fire with fire at some point.

They never give a ton of specifics on any mid-season injury, and this is probably the reason why.

Most of the time you can replace "We heard from our unnamed source that..." with "We speculate that....". The former generates more page views; the latter doesn't.

My sister works at a prominent hospital in the Chicagoland area and she told me that she was told by one of the doctors there that Toews was getting X-rays done to his wrist this afternoon.

Boom. See how easy it is to make **** up?

Well, you assume people have enough dignity not to do that.

Unfortunately, most people don't.

The world would be a better place if they did though.

IF it is a concussion, I'm happy the team is hiding it.

Look what happened to Bolland and Seabrook during the Canucks series last year when it was widely known that they were recovering from concussions.

It's a ****** thing, but it does happen, and I'd prefer it not happen to the Cap'n.

Very true. You can only get caught in a lie a couple times and most people aren't going to believe you anymore. Big price to pay for a little attention.

I don't believe it's a concussion at all. I think that guy just made it up so people can visit his site and then other people started sourcing him.

But if it turns out Toews really does have a concussion and tried to hide it then that's really stupid on his part.

The fact that Q was asked about it and didn't deny it kind of tells me that it's a concussion.

lol

just because Jesse Rogers says he "thinks" Toews will be back by the weekend, doesn't mean he actually will be.

Really hope he is back and fully healthy, but I'm afraid of being too optimistic.

These next three games are extremely, EXTREMELY important. Three teams in the race for the last couple playoff spots, we cannot afford another losing streak.

.
You got that right. My optimistic side says Q calculated that sitting a banged up Toews for the Wings game was the way to go, because Thursday and the weekend games mean so much more in the standings. I hope I'm right and Jonny will play in the next 3 games (albeit at less than 100 percent).

I was hoping that too. Toews is already ruled out for tomorrow, but if we beat Detroit without him, we really need to show up for Dallas. They have upset us a couple times in the last couple years. Need to keep the streak going tomorrow.

Kane looked better at center last night than he did at RW at any point this season. He also looked awesome at the beginning of the year when he started at center.

It's going to be tough for this team to keep winning without Toews. Center depth sucks. Kane looked really good yesterday aside when he was taking face offs. I think he had a goose egg.

They should waive Lepissto and call up Pirri. About damn time we get our AHL all star up in this biatch.

Right. Let's waive Lepisto when we have 2 D injured. Intelligent.

Pirri plays no D. Kid doesn't have it in his game yet. Don't think he's quite ready to be an NHL'er. Don't really want to burn a year off his ELC either.

Wrist, Head, still an injury he attempted to play through rather than letting it heal.

Am I the only one who thought Lepisto played well against the Wings? Not saying I want him in the top 6 on a regular basis, but I wouldn't have much issues with him being #7 most nights when Hjammer and Monty are healthy. Given what he is, Lepisto has been pretty damn solid lately.
