Wow. Shocked. Crazy trade SFY.

I know Downie and Stammer were BFFF so hopefully Stammer doesnt get to down on this trade.

Lets be reality, we needed d-man and SFY got it, I'm happy with this as long as quincey doesn't start to suck

So we have to make a "pitch" to him this summer.. Cool.

I could've passed on Moore, on Kubina either.. Yeah maybe we needed a 2nd pairing d-men.. but Quincey looks like another tough guy from stats, not an offensive defensemen that is what we need imho..

Kings fan here. You guys got a solid all around defenseman in Quincey. Never seen a defenseman get the puck through to the net as much as he did when he was in LA. He does everything else well too. Hits, and will fight if necessary. Nice pickup.

EDIT: LOL fail post...

McKenzie says.

"I am now hearing TB has traded Kyle Quincey to DET. Working on details but sounds like Quincey to DET for a first-round pick. Verifying."

What an interesting afternoon.

So Downie for Detroit's first in the end.

Two firsts and four(maybe three) seconds now.

Avs fan here. Quincey is a good return for Downie. It reminds me of a good old hockey trade, it seems like fair value.

Quincey is a pretty good all around defenceman, he does have good offensive instincts too. He does take some stupid penalties slightly too often.

Edit: Haha, never mind looks like he's off to another team.

Im really worried about this one. Downie is such a huge part of everything.
Quincey is a top-4 D-man.

Oh those amazing times he had in Tampa.

I wonder what Downie would have been worth if he was shopped? More than the 30th overall pick I'd imagine.

Feel bad for you. You should be getting a third as well. Versteeg got a 1st and 3rd last year, similar value to Downie. Hope Stevie Y getting a mid-rounder, otherwise major win for the Wings/Avs.
