Mitchell will get the puck in the offensive zone and just circle back. He needs to shoot it more often or do something more decisive, because when he circles back, he often just loses it.
They keep playing like this and it is going to make it easy for Sather to make a Neil Smith style deadline trade or two.
The lack of shots on net and inability to hit the net kill this team. Our PP provided nothing again as usual, this team cannot dump the puck in and chase, they are only successful when they skate the puck in a set up. Too many shots passed up to make the perfect pass. Defensive lapses killed this team tonight. Still haven't even addressed the fact the team didn't show up for a rivalry game tonight, where was Torts and the in-game adjustments?
The Pens with or without Crosby are far better in every aspect than goaltending. We got completely outclassed. This was not a fell asleep type game like the Chicago game, we just got dominated. 2-0 flatters this team. Not one single area where this team was good. If we play this team, with or without Crosby it'll be the same result as the last time we played them in the playoffs. The offense is pathetic, the defense gives up a breakaway every game. It's Lundqvist and Lundqvist alone why this team is in first.
ROOT sports announcers really talked up Richards before the game and are talking about him again in the post game. Apart from a few well-timed GWG, he hasn't been all that effective out there, to put it mildly. No one is really afraid of him or what he can do. Beyond King Henry, does this team have anyone that is genuinely feared by the rest of the league? Gabby on a good night, I guess.
Good news is, Toronto forced OT, if it goes to a SO though, Devils will be the victors.

I really like Richards and always have, but he's better than this, he must step it up. Let's not fool ourselves here, the Rangers do not have enough talent, and with this so-called "POWER-PLAY", they won't go too far in the playoffs. I love this team, and it's not a fluke that they're on top of the East, but they aren't that great.

Yea that was bad. Prime example of the over-passing this team is often guilty of.

Our dump and chase grinding mentality will be so easy to handle in the playoffs. lacking skill, lets give wolski a shot again, I am sorry but Mitchell just sucks, Bickel is ok to grind and fight and be the last man, but mitchell just flat out sucks.
