Washington has pwned Ottawa this year. Need a win here and we can pretty much put them behind us for the rest of the year. They'll only have a shot at 8th or 3rd.
So if Ovie doesn't play and that would than affect the play of Semin+Backstrom, I have a feeling the Caps depth guys are going to step up for them and should be the real focus tonight. They got a lot of pesky bottom 6 guys who can surprise you, Johansson, Laich, Brouwer, Chimera, Ward, Halpern, than on D Wideman and Carlson and now Green is back.
This certainly feels like a winnable game but could be one of the toughest ones in a while. Tired of getting pushed around by the Caps this season, if the Canes can spank em 5-0, surely we can handle them too.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Ovie is officially a game-time decision. Hope he doesn't play though, he had one of his best games of the season against us last time out. Not that it's saying much as he's in the mid 300's in league scoring right now lol!

Wouldn't it be something if Ovie got traded straight up for Nash? Won't happen but it would definitely make headlines. Ottawa needs to play like they did against the Isles, and they will be just fine. Get some revenge for being spanked by the Caps earlier this season.
On a unrelated note, If the Sens make the playoffs, can they try to not play Pitt in the first round. I'm am sick of that match up.
Meh, think I might grab a standing room ticket and go to the game. Why the heck not?
Do it up! Go support our boys. Saw the Caps game in December and despite the loss it was a good one. Why only standing room though? There's plenty of cheap seats left.
9 points and Caps have 2 games in hand with a win. The Sens lose they're still up 5.
Yep. 9 points if they win in regulation tonight. That's too big of a gap to close at this point in the season. Do that and the only teams we have to worry about are Toronto, Winnipeg and Florida.
