My wife gave up on that and now listens to post-game on CJOB (or at least when the calls come in).

Why? It actually makes her angry. It takes a LOT to make my wife angry.

Although sometimes she listens for the comedy factor, which you gotta admit is pretty high.

edit: haha tonight the radio isn't picking up 680. At least she got to listen to Greg.

The Flyers brought there A game tonight. They are a darn good hockey team and I am glad we were able to pick up a point. I don't think we played that bad, we generated some terrific chances but our lack of depth showed as the game went on, we didn't have an answer for there combination of speed skill and size in the third.

55 shots the most allowed by any team this season. It's an ominous stat.

I was feeling pretty nauseated with the result of this game, but a few Crown Royals brought me clarity. Man, every Flyers game is an epic. How bonkers would it be if we drew them in the first round?? Has there ever been 100 goals scored in a series before?

A lot of their players play bigger than they are. Briere, who outfought Oduya in that winning play? 5'10 170lbs. Giroux is only 5'10 or 5'11.

Was this the first time this year that the home crowd actually chanted for a singular player? The "GST" chants are for the whole line.

I thought the chant was good, Pavs should know that we appreciate his hard work.

Just got home from the game.

My thoughts

Pavelec you are amazing and I want to have your babies.

Wtf was with the MTS Centre's ice tonight? Was god awful.

Some key defensive gaffs were the reasons why we lost.

Wish we had more chances on ILYA because he was beyond shaky in this game.

Thought the Flyers got away with a ******** of obstruction, but they always do so nothing new there.

I love being in that arena. Just amazing. Nice to see Ladd have a good night. How does he have 19 goals already? Quietly putting the numbers up. I thought Toby had an off night. I think Hainsey might have pulled something as he was stretching his leg out just before the 3rd started. The D really needs Bogosian back.

I'm now 1-1-1. Hopefully after Saturday it'll be 2-1-1, but given that it's the Blues it may not be.

I wasn't even mad after this game. I usually am after my teams lose to the Flyers (which luckily for me is not very often. Errr except this year with the Pens).

I feel more sorry for the players to let that game slip through their collective fingers, what a let down, but I must admit it was a nail biter of a game worth watching...until that final 10 seconds that is

Did I actually just hear someone call into TSN 1290 and criticize Pavelec?

It was after praising him a bit but still, oh man not tonight buddy, NOT TONIGHT.

Honestly I'm a bit surprised by some of the reaction here. Sure it sucks to lose a point with 10 seconds left but:

- The game was unbelieveably entertaining (top 3 of the year IMO)
- We have 7 of 8 points and are playing TB on Thursday. We are actually legitimately still in the playoff race.

If you were presented with the possibility of us having an NHL team that got hot approching the trade deadline and pushing for the playoffs this season at this time last year would you not be euphoric?

Remember guys, this isn't real life, it's entertainment. I was absolutely entertained tonight.

1st point....Pavs is absolutely AWESOME!!!

2nd point...the Flyers offense is deadly when everyone is in the lineup, and picking up Grossman & Kubina has made them serious Cup contenders.

3rd point...The PP put up 3 GOALS!!!

Now with that said, I still can't figure out if we blew a point or stole a point??!

Real talk, bro. [Insert iaintevenmad.jpg here]

Although it's troublesome that we'd get outshot that bad, and a bit of a kick (ok, a straight roundhouse) in the junk to get scored on that late, games like this happen. The fact that we have goaltending that can rescue a point out of that wreckage, that's pretty impressive. If the late goal was the other way around (ie. Jets trailing 4-3, tie it at 4 with 10 seconds), we'd have taken the point and ran like Usain Bolt out of the MTS Centre with it.

Jets had no business being in that game. They looked unprepared for playoff-like intensity from the Flyers, and overall still need a bit of a complexion change. Oh well, onto the next one. Can't ****ing wait for Thursday.

I'm very concerned about how this affects their emotions for the next game. And how telling that period and the overtime was. The 55 shots.

That's bigger than the difference between 2 pts and 1 pt. Like I said, Ominous.

Really? I tend to tune the callers out unless they sound really drunk. Pfft... now I'm going to have to rewind the show.

I'm sorry, but

The Flyers don't have the goaltending to compete with Boston and NYR. We have better goaltending then the Flyers. The Flyers will be lucky to get out of the first round with IL-YYYAAAAAAAA in net.

obviously tough to let it slip away late but I am 100% with you Lynk. The Flyers were all over us tonight they brought their absolute best game and deserved to beat us badly but our goalie was a monster and their's really does suck. Pavs stole us a point

As you said 7 of 8 in the last four

I really hope that's what they take from this game, and leave the other stuff behind.

I think a lot of that is frustration of giving up the lead with 10 seconds left in the game. Certainly frustrating. I know I was knashing my teeth.

Still, in the end we were lucky to get a point based on the Jets play in third period. Bogo' can't come back fast enough.
