Sharks @ Blue Jackets

Is this not allowed for some reason? I didn't watch the game, so I want more details.

Welp. Didn't watch after Carter got the hattrick. Everyone played like crap and essentially squandered an opportunity to get 2 points. Nemo got pulled after the third goal.

Question -- did anyone get a good replay of that first goal? Did Niemi really have it covered with his glove? They never played a good overhead replay on the Sharks feed.

As for the game, boy so much happened in that game and it just seemed like everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. From the first goal, to the ridiculous snow-shower penalty, to the pinball goal, to the practically unheard-of double minor following the Clowe love tap, to the high stick goal being just a few inches from converting, to the post, to the super soft calls down the stretch ... I'm using to the Sharks getting bad puck luck and poor reffing, but it's been a long time since I saw so many things go against them in one game. It was frightening.

So bad that I was the one saying everyone should calm down lol. That never happens. Usually I'm the angry one. However, I don't think they were as bad as the score.

I wanted to respond to whoever responded to me in the GDT saying the refs weren't bad. I thought they were absolutely horrible.

Btw, Did anyone notice that boarding/check on Braun in the 3rd that went uncalled?

Time for Greiss to get some quality starts and is it just me or are the Ref's really effing us over this road trip?

I saw several very marginal checks go uncalled while some really soft crap get called down the stretch. That one that led to the Wingels fight should have been boarding for sure.

Ok serious question here...

Greiss let in as many goals as Nemo. My thoughts this whole roadie have been that neither goalkeeper has been given a quality defense. Can anyone really say Greiss has consistently played better than Nemo? Nemo has let in some soft goals lately but for a good number of them I really think he just hasn't had the defensive support he's been expecting.

I'll probably be called a Niemi apologist but oh well. I'm not saying he's a god, but at the same time i don't think he's horrible...

Im sorry, but blaming the refs for this debacle is stretching it a bit.

Lets be honest here. The Sharks are a complete mess right now. At this moment anyone who actually thinks the Sharks are serious playoff contenders are somkin some serious shizzle. The team chemestry isnt there, and adding players at the deadline probably wont fix things, but its a start. DW isnt stupid though, Logan, JT are golden. Others like Patty, Pavs etc. maybe not.

Meanwhile, Kings lead 4-3 at Phoenix after Yotes were down as many as three in the game. Clifford elbows Brule in the head and gets tossed. Phoenix gets the equalizer on the PP.

It is a 3-point game in OT as we speak. Phoenix could tie the Sharks in points.

Getting Havlat and Murray back, and picking up a tweener like TJ Galiardi would instantly make this team a contender. I know people are not very high on Havlat right now, but his impact goes beyond the numbers.

I had this awful thought today. What if it's mid-March, his new return date, and they announce he's actually done for the regular season and playoffs?!
