His play from the last 3 games compared to after WC are TOTALLY different. Like honestly, it's not just the numbers but HOW he is playing.

Whoa. You guys aren't kidding. Bryz does look thinner. I wonder if that's thanks to the flu?

It's our playoff avy theme, better get used to it. It's certainly not as overused as Bryz's humangaous big/universe, wouldn't mind if those died off...

Look at this guy during summer time and look at him now. For people that were arguing with me about his weight.

I've been wondering if it's possible to look good while eating a cheesesteak... guess it isn't

Well, if the new and improved Bryzgalov and, by extension, Flyers squad continues to the playoffs, maybe we could have a "troll" theme:
- Bryz = trolling the league
- Giroux (on a breakaway goal) = trolling goalies
- Grossmann (pushing down ??? a couple of nights ago) = trolling forwards
- Laviolette (giving the finger) = trolling refs
- Carle (wrister from the point) = trolling shin pads
- Timonen = trolling age
- Couturier = trolling 2011 draft picks 1-7

etc.

I haven't really seen much of him since 24/7, but I thought it was noticeable in that picture that he has dropped weight since December. His neck and shoulders looked smaller. Who knows though, maybe it was just the angle of the picture and such.

if the problem was his (over)weight then the theory of lazy lazy russians is confirmed. Surely bryz is now settled til the end of his career and doesnt give a ******* about the team and his performance.
I think Ovechkin has the same attitude problem.

He was sick wasn't he?

I'd assume it's possible that the flu can make you lose significant weight if you're already trying to lose it and commit yourself to keeping it off after recovering.

Where do Malkin, Datsyuk, Bobrovsky, Fedorov, Konstantinov fit in your theory?

i buddy of mine recently lost well over 20 lbs during the Xmas/into new years time frame from catching several bad flu's then getting a throat problem that cuased him to not be able to eat properly for weeks.

he is noticably thinner.

he is quite happy with the results in fact.. said it was the easist lost weight he ever did, hahah
