puck goes above his pad & under / to the right [the rectangle shape of the blocker won't fill all area above his pad] of the blocker. clearly.
Whatever happened, it's certainly not clear. For the record, I think it went under his pad too. I believe it skids off the ice just before it gets to him, there's no way it bounced up above his pads and back down again.
The pads weren't on the ice, which is something that he's been guilty of numerous times in the past few weeks. Vanek's goal for example. He's a lazy goalie who isn't putting in the effort i'd expect from a 'professional'.
His movement from side to side on that goal was piss poor at best too. Standing up trying to look over the screen, not in ready position, pretty poor
Bryz was at fault for goal 4.
the lengths that some go here to pin every single goal on him & 'not count' the good saves he does make is comical.
if it's in the net = bad goal. if he stops it = high / wide or a routine save.
nighty nite, Negadelphians
It was 1 & 4, yet another game in which 2 goals are almost entirely on him. I'd be delighted to give him a pass on every goal, but he has not earned that right. His attitude stinks, his performances are worse and I want him out.
then maybe you should watch more carefully before you come here and blame him for letting the puck go under his pad. at least come to the discussion with the obvious facts
I NEVER blamed him. Go back and read the post after the first goal last night. And you seem to be proven wrong in later pages. Oh if I could slap a ho through a computer monitor...
Meh, the same could be said about people ripping on Bryz (or Leighton, or Bob, or Esche, or Niitty, etc). I have been on these boards for a couple years now and I don't think I have ever seen a goal go in that hasn't gotten the reaction of, "OMG WTF THIS GUY SUCKS" then when someone defends the goal its always "KEEP DRINKING THE KOOL-AID TAKE OFF THE BLINDERS" regardless of whether the goal really was or wasn't a bad goal. Some people are gonna complain about every goal, some will make excuses for every goal. Welcome to the internet.
You know, the more I examine those ultra slo-mo videos, the more that puck looks like Bigfoot. We need those super-CIA computers: "Okay, freeze it here. Rotate 43.6 degrees and blow it up to 211%. Now remove the Jets players leg and sharpen. Sharpen more. There! The puck split in half. I told you!"
Seriously now, I do not believe Jeff Reese is the problem.
Nor do I believe he would have such a negative impact on a great goaltender.
I'm not saying reese is bad/the problem either...just saying that..for example...Tim Thomas's game is all about agressiveness to the shooter...if we brought him in, and told him play back more...I don't think that would be a good fit.
I know there was talk about having Leighton playing back more...I obviously I don't know what Bryz is being asked to do.
What does Vokoun have to do with anything at all? Why are you repeatedly bringing him up?
because your 'expert' judgement of goaltending says hes a better alternative
here's your so called 'better alternative' .... LOL

The Capitals had their chances, but the Ottawa Senators took advantage of another lousy outing by Tomas Vokoun to take a 4-0 lead that made life rather glum for Washington. Vokoun was pulled for the second consecutive game ....
