God damn, this game is amazing. It did everything I wanted it to: kept all the amazing elements of the first one, improved the mechanics/physics a metric ****ton, made the bad guys a lot smarter (still not exactly Mensa members but compared to the first one they're geniuses. Depraved little geniuses), and basically just improved the overall flow. Story line... we'll see. I like it so far but I only just did the first Sanctuary quest so it's early. Toooooons of side quests to get lost in, not to mention just driving around is a blast and a half.

My one complaint so far is the frequencey of respawns. I mean, it's never a bad thing to have so many dudes to kill but on some of the longer missions where you don't come across an ammo machine, I start to run low (Despite the crates) and it can be a pain having to run allllll the way back through a bandit camp that's so big, the guys at the beginning have already respawned. Overall I'd say it's not a bad problem to have because I love everything else about the game.

Also, question: can you not have a weapon equipped unless it's in your weapon SDU? I seem to remember in the last one you could go into your regular menu and equip a different weapon without putting it into the quick menu. Might be wrong about that.

I might go into more detail, at work now, but if you were at all on the fence about this, hope down and ****ing buy it. Even the single player is amazing (playing Commando on single, Gunzerker with my buddies. No way I was going to have one character and wait for them to play through this)

Good read. One of the many reasons why Gearbox is one of my favourite studios .

Warning : May contain minor spoilers , I guess..
I just ran into that NPC last night, had no idea about the backstory. Gave me a badass SMG. Pretty cool gesture from Gearbox

That is really cool. It's the little things that make all the difference, and at least someone at Gearbox seems to get that.

yeah the game looks great, but soon i realized they re-spawn really fast, i knew it was going to be very annoying. 2nd thing im not really a fan of is the camera angle where u get into the car, it makes me feel not good. I cant recall how it was in the first game though.

I do agree with this. Especially at first when you're not quite powered up (eg: if you do a long mission before you get your power. I'm thinking of the Bullymong riding midget.) but once you start assigning points it's not so bad. You can hang out and slay some dudes or just beeline it out of there. It's not like Borderlands 1 where they will chase you across half the map, they tend to forget about you once you leave their site for 30 or so seconds.

I don't mind the car. Once you master the handbrake it's a boatload of fun

If you enjoy fun things, then yes

But seriously, it's a great blend of RPG and first person shooter: fast-paced, relentless action; character skill trees (with 4 different characters and 3 specializations for each you literally can play the game differently 12 times if you wanted); a very nice setting and some great side missions. Obviously it's not nearly as in-depth as a traditional RPG but it's not trying to be.

If you're still on the fence, you can probably get Borderlands 1 for like, 10 bucks. If you like that at all, you'll love this.

Tiny Tina is...by far...my favorite video game character now.

I challenge anyone to go through her quest line without laughing.

Some hilarious missions in this game

Spoil:
The Ninja Turtles one and the AI that tries to kill you when you put him in robots and the radio

I'm enjoying playing as Zero. It's like playing a more colorful Half-Life. I really like the environment and the characters.

Given that she's voice by Ash Burch and her lines were written by Anthony Burch (from Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin') this isn't a surprise.

Got that gun on my gunzerker. Gunzerking with infinite ammo is pretty fun.

So my friend and I were up late last night wandering around caustic caverns, when he stumbled upon THIS

We had to search it up on youtube to make sure we weren't hallucinating.
Probably the coolest easter egg I've ever seen, made even cooler that it was completely unexpected.

Haven't had nearly enough time to play this game but I'm slowly getting through it. Just gets better and better.

In case anyone needs it, here's a hint: loot everything. Every s**t pile, every chest, every seemingly tiny money box... They occasionally have eridium and that's obviously key for the black market.

And your first thought is to ruin that feeling for everyone else?

Cmon now BeBen... You've been around long enough to know that once a game is out I don't enforce a spoiler policy in threads.

It's not about the spoiler, i just find it weird that he explicitly mentions how cool it was to find it without knowing about it, then makes sure that other people can't experience that feeling

Not everybody is willing to go explore every nook and cranny of every map just for the off chance of finding it. It's already ALL over the internet. If someone doesn't like seeing 'spoilers' then tough cookies. They should know there is the risk of that in a discussion thread about the game.
