Invisible Man was one of the best books I have ever read, and I read it for AP English Lit.
The Grapes of Wrath was very good as well, though it more or less advocated a Bolshevik uprising.

I don't understand the hats and all this crazy stuff. I haven't really played (until recently) in like two years, so I have no idea what all these things are and how I get them. Do I have to buy them?

No you unlock them, most of them are really hard to get. I think some might just be promos though.

You find hats randomly, you can buy some too, but it's really not worth it. You can also craft them by crafting weapons into 'metal', then with enough metal you can craft a hat.

I play stuff on Steam. And SC2 every so often, but I'm so rusty it is depressing.

No PC gaming for me. I'm play on my Xbox 360 about 95% of the time, with the other 5% or so going to my PS3.
Several years ago, though....you couldn't get me off World of Warcraft no matter how hard you tried. I was literally on that game whenever I wasn't at school, sleeping, eating, or doing homework. Then Blizzard went and ruined the game (IMO) and I lost my passion for it.

.....why?
Drop in games are terrible (at least on xbox live, I've never played them on PSN). I suggest you find your own team to play on with people who you can learn the tendencies of and all that.
