If that was Carolina's way of making a statement, then I like our chances come tournament time.

And what a statement to make. Duke isn't a bad team at all, and they did play much better in the 2nd half, but Carolina owned that game from start to finish at Cameron. 9 to go.

Also, with the Saints likely to get the book thrown at them, the Falcons going backwards and the Bucs being the Bucs, I'm *very* much looking forward to football season. If the Panthers play the draft/free agency correctly, they could have a good shot at the division next year.

let's not go crazy here, Duke's a 2 seed (because of record and RPI) that plays like a 5 seed. The only reason they're as highly regarded this year as they are is because of name recognition and an RPI that doesn't even come close to telling the whole story because of how lucky they've gotten in quite a few games this year.

Do that against Cuse or Mizzou and I'll be impressed. There's a reason I want my boys going up against a 2 seed Duke as a 10 seed this year.

I can not understand why Michigan State is ranked over UNC. They are just not impressive at all when compared to the other teams in the top 8 or so. They seem to be given the name recognition rankings even more than Duke.

I think either Kentucky or 'Cuse takes the title. Both of those teams just seem to be on a completely different level than everyone else. If not those teams, I think it'll be some random 3 seed or lower.

The Bobcats were about to win a game tonight....

Then Deron Williams decided to score 57 points.

I like how that didn't make the ESPN headlines.

Probably due to Charlotte being so terrible.

You were right before. It took ESPN a solid 30+ minutes to even throw it up there. I would have figured 57 points in an NBA game would be more deserving of a quick spot on the main page, even if it is against the Bobcats.

Even so, it's the 4th item down on the list...

Or you could take her to the deliciousness that is Beasley's Chicken + Honey. Chicken and waffles FTW. Chicken and waffles and pimento cheese mac and cheese custard with a local microbrew? Even better. Heck they even have champagne to celebrate the anniversary with!

A waffle food truck in NYC. Even I didn't have the stomach to try the pulled pork combo (plus I've yet to see any evidence that anyone up here has even the slightest clue how pulled pork is really supposed to be done).

That's not Wafels and Dinges is it? Next time I get to NYC I want to try something of his badly. That and I need a fix from the Gyroman at 54th and 6th.

That actually sounds pretty fantastic, and thanks for the suggestion. Believe it or not, I've never been there despite all of my attempts to eat my way back and forth across NC.

My wife actually has zero tolerance for eating pork (she simply doesn't care for it), so I'm more or less on my own when it comes to bbq. I have a friend coming to town this weekend, so I'm thinking Beasley's is in the cards for us.
