I have to agree that ott's value is probably absurd right now... and he's really not part of the core we hope to be winning with ... he's 6 months from being 30
I dont think a guy like Steve Ott will ever have higher value than he does at this trade deadline.
Yeah, he is the one that kinda falls into the category of valuable and not essential. Morrow appears to be the same this year but I think he's been injured this whole season and we would be selling low on him.
These wins should change nothing about the trade deadline. Ott, Souray and hell even Ribs (if the overpayment was amazing) should still go if the right deals come along. I think Joe and Gaglardi saw enough of the team in Jan to not do something stupid like let 2-3 games before the deadline sway their plan. I hope at least.
