Eh....

Let say it is true, no team in their right mind would trade for him. You are looking at several first rounder, top prospects and talented established players in return. So yes a team would have Ovy, but would be the only good player left.

I would, but I don't think we have the supporting cast to make it work.

All your eggs in one basket, 99% of the time, never works out.
Never did like a one star player, team. Paying one guy a good chunk
of your cap is no good.
I'd love the have ovey, who wouldn't, but not at the expense of selling
the farm cause when the farm is gone, you have nothing else to work.

I would pass...haven't seen to many Capitals drinking from the cup lately. These selfish superstars have a way of undermining their team.

I would lay down on a highway, beat kitties to death and walk bare feet in sharp bits of shattered glass in order for the habs to be rumored by Eklund to be "looking at" Ovechkin.

If he WAS available...and the Habs made a pitch to aquire him....It would start with Price and Subban++. Personally I worry more about games against Price then games against Ovie in terms of one man being able to take over a game. Ovie is showing character flaws in his attitude. If he can't bring Washington a Cup with their current makeup. What does he provide Montreal with no Price. It would be appealing however if Price is the asking PRICE...lol...I don't do this if I'm Montreal.

Of course the Habs would consider it depending on the asking price. The asking price would probably be way too high though.

I would acquire Ovechkin in a heart beat, he would be a better player in Montreal than he is in Washington, mark my words!

We'd have to gut our team. Price + Subban+++... and OV has struggled in recent years. The downside outweighs the risk and it makes no sense to do this.

If he was available as a UFA though? Sure.

Anything but Price and Subban.

Ovechkin can SCORE goals, and he needs a city like MTL.

Nope. We would have to give too many 1st round picks, good players and good prospects that it is not worth it to trade for him.

He has a terrible attitude too and he doesn't take his training seriously.

Any GM not willing to take a long, long look at this guy doesn't deserve to be a GM. Ovechkin makes Rick Nash look like a spare forward.
