If players are sent out for picks/prospects...

...one guy I'd like to see called up for the remainder of the season is Alex Henry. I know many here don't care about him but I think he's a veteran who has earned another chance to show if he can skate in the NHL in the future, whether it be with the Habs or elsewhere. I recall PK saying he really enjoyed playing with him in Hamilton. Maybe he can show that he is worthy of some time here next year in emergency situations and to help mentor the Habs younger D's. One common thread is that the D is not nearly physically strong enough and he would be a guy that would help that.

Not to mention he might get into a scrap or two which at least will make the last month of the season a little more entertaining.

I posted this on another board but I wanted to hear thoughts on this one here too.

I don't disagree, but it won't happen with this administration.

Yeah we should call up Henry and Zack Fitzgerald too since they both have bright futures in the NHL..

Call up St-Denis and let him play once Campoli gets traded, he was solid for us in his brief stint this year.

I'd rather let our kids get ice time.

Henry is so slow he makes Hal Gill look like Pavel Bure.

If he was a foward maybe but on defense we can't really waste a spot on him because he's slow as hell

If there are no other prospects on D that will be NHL ready for next year, then sure, if you move Campoli, Kaberle and Weber and have some room to fill on the NHL blueline.

Henry, St-Denis and Nash (if he is fully back from injury) are options to fill the roster. Neither of Henry or St-Denis is getting better, and their ceiling is AHL no matter how much the media and fans would fall in love with them. This is just to fill the NHL roster

Put him on the 4th line with Gomez

if we're missing the playoffs, why not?

It's kind of funny that the general consensus is that most people want to finish as low in the standings as possible (which means losing games) yet they can't stand the thought of bringing in a guy to finish off the season because he is such a terrible player.

If Campoli is traded, St-Denis should be the next call-up.

I'd do it. Give him some PK time so Subban and Gorges don't have to block as many shots and risk injury. He also brings toughness and wants to showcase himself.

I don't know if he really has a spot over a guy like Weber though.

I'd rather have rookies playing and learning than AHL journeymen.

i'd rather see Hamilton try and make the playoffs, then callup someone cause the "fans" want to see him fight.

You are right you can't be a fan of the Habs if you like a physical defensemen. They must all be extremely mobile but not able to clear a guy from the front of the net.

Also, I'd rather be entertained by the Habs for the rest of the year than care about the Bulldogs because some "Habs fans" are so concerned about the Bulldogs playoff run.

There has been many logical reasons in the past to call him up but it never occurred. This management doesn't believe in his effectiveness as an NHL player so I doubt it happens. At this point, I'd rather see Schultz and or Conboy get a cup of coffee.

Putting henry on the line with gomo is a nice way of punishing gomo for his last two years of service

I like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do it for me coach...please. I want gomaz to be remembered as the worst habs player ever, the guy that stole from us !!!!!

Well I could give a **** about your entertainment. I'm more concerned about our prospects making the playoffs. Maybe you are not aware, but many of the Bulldogs end up future Habs.
