Chris Summers, the Coyotes' 2006 version of Ian Cole, has been playing pretty well. I've been watching their games. He's LD. It might be the reason behind why Eklund tweeted this:
"Coyotes willing to move a top D for a top forward...told the player they want in a "hockey trade" is not a player mentioned in any rumors."
Point isn't that the Blues are going to make a trade today or that they're the one in on it, but it's some evidence that Phoenix is willing to deal from strength for a forward. I would suspect they wouldn't move a top D off their team while they're pushing for the playoffs, but in the offseason maybe someone like Yandle becomes available for a lucrative package. If so, I hope the Blues would be in on that.
I was really thinking they would make a move with then getting that extra 2nd for next year.. I hate always sitting around watching other teams make moves to get better while the blues sit there and do nothing... I want an owner with money and will spend said money..
Strickland tweeted that we make have to do some quick paper transactions to assure Cole and Hensick are eligible for AHL playoffs. What does he mean by that?
I believe the players need to be on the roster that day by 5:00PM EST to be eligible for the playoffs(PTO's for sure and possibly emergency call ups are exempt). I can look it up when I get home from work this evening to verify. Keep an eye out on the Riv's Facebook page they may post something about it, P_B may also know if he sees these comments.
