Had a feeling Stewie would score again tonight. Nice to see him and Berglund playing well. Bergy's probably been our best forward tonight.

Gonna be a tough 3rd though.

I can't help but wonder how we'd be doing if we has the ownership in place to bring in some help. It sucks when all of the teams in your division (except your's) are getting better through trades.

I had to miss the 1st 2 periods. Saw Stewart scored, how does he look?

Heh.

No pressure then, eh?

Great so far, but Berglund has been on another level. Pocket, any idea if the Brown rumor is true?

What we need is simply not available. I don't understand people feeling a need to make a trade.

Pretty good, IMO. The goal was a lucky bounce, but he got it because he was right where he should have been doing what he was supposed to do. He's been overdue for some lucky bounces anyway. Generally speaking, his game has been pretty solid.

This is what they will face over and over and over and over in the playoffs this year and in the years to come. Situations exactly like this. A tough goaltender on a good team, on the road, tied entering the third.

What identity does this team have for itself? Who are these players in the big moments? It's a preview. They're not playing the Dallases and the Washingtons and the Minnesotas and the Islanders in the playoffs. They're playing teams like the Predators.

It doesn't mean they can't or won't win in the postseason, but my default expectation would be one and done.

Did Kelly just say Bergy has 5 shots? Guess he is playing great.

Game is kind of reminding me of the Bruins game a bit. I have a feeling this game will go to overtime and possibly a shootout. Both teams are so evenly matched tonight.

I absolutely love the guy, but this is three games in a row, where David Backes has been very quiet

Rinne always goes into Jesus mode against us. Good look by Stewart there though.

Much like Jackman, he has looked like he has been playing hurt.

Yeah, Hal Gill has really taken the Predators to a whole new level. (Serious note: I think Gill will help Nashville, but he's not going to be the difference between them moving on or not.)

Detroit picked up a more significant piece, to be sure.

With that said, it's a lot easier to pick up guys who improve your team when you have an obvious hole to fill. Outside of a major hockey trade, very little (if any) of the typical deadline rental fare is going to improve a healthy Blues team. There's no obvious moves to be made.

Well to be honest no team really scares me all that much right now.... Nashville has had out number all year. It's unfortunate but we usually just don't seem to match up well against Nashville. However tonight we are more then holding our own. But if we played a team like San Jose or Phoenix in the playoffs Ill take that day and night and no chance do I think we would lose either of those series. But unfortunately one team loses and one team wins. That's what the playoffs are about. I could see the Blues going all the way, but with teams like Chicago and Detroit in the playoffs of course it's going to be tough.

I agree with you. I just think it's amusing that you're talking about "pegging" the Blues like that with a quarter of the season still left to play.

Rinne is worth every penny of that contract. Amazing doesn't even come close to describing him.
