What's the latest on Parse?

Any chance we see a repeat of last year and he comes back for the playoffs (assuming we get there?)

I don't think there is a chance at all. He had to have surgery on BOTH hips. Hasn't even skated yet I don't think.

Even if he does somehow get back on ice like...right now. That's not a lot of time to get himself back into professional shape. He's probably been on crutches for at least 3 months now.

It's almost as if it's a congenital defect with Parse. It will take a miracle for him to regain his NHL career at this point.

Please BigBrown don't joke about a player who has suffered through injuries when it looked like he had a promising career. His career may be over and its tough. I hope he makes it back in the NHL someday.

I hear Parse and his buddy Greg Oden were seen in a pet store that specializes in black cats, holding umbrellas and playing Frisbee with mirrors.

Seriously, the guy has had horrible luck. He really could have been solid, IMO, but we are probably never going to find out. I'd put his type of injuries in the same class as Oden's - it's rare that someone comes back from that.

Oh come on now, I didn't make fun of him as a person or his condition, I made fun of his relevance to the Kings going forward. If Parse can get his hips fixed I'm sure he'll be a relevant player in Europe in the near future and with a bit of luck he could work his way back.

I agree with Fish. I think the guy was on his way to a pretty good, productive, NHL career. It just sucks to see someone deal with such devastating injuries. I mean one hip is bad enough to have to have reconstructive surgery on...but both?

Brutal.

Parse just took a deep breath and thought about The Stay Puff Marshmallow man.
