I think hemsky is likely, and while I think he is an amazing playmaking talent, he is a gigantic gamble health wise. I'm not sure what we do, but I get the feeling that barring a competitive conference finals or better that Ryan Suter is gone.

I absolutely agree with this sentiment, which is why a move has to be made now in an effort to push us to that point. While losing suter and or weber isn't the end of our team, it does put us behind a couple of years.

I cant imagine that if Bernier isnt coming back that we were outbid by LA. Must mean either Howson didnt want to ship Carter in division or Poile is in on someone else.
what do you think of a trade to Dallas for Steve Ott and Micheal Ryder. I give Blum and Bourque or Spaling. Maybe that's too much it can worked on. It wouldn't gut the team and I would hate to loose Ellis, Wilson or Smith and Horqvist in a panic mode. Look at Richards for LA hasn't scored a goal since Christmas ...care of nhl of the fly....Fisher didn't get off to good start here but he's made up for it. All of the guys like Nash, Parise and Ryan how long will take them to get up to speed on the top line and who gets moved. Just think of a line with Ott and Tootoo coming down on you...that would be playoff hockey at it's finest

Just talked to my friend from columbus. He says it is JJ + 1st + something else for Carter + something else. He says Nashville has called and asked Columbus what they want for Nash.
We shall see.
Honestly, if we can somehow take Nash out of columbus I would do it at this point, I would probably even move Smith OR Wilson for Nash depending on what the rest of the package was.
