Unless the Sens are keeping it under wraps because they plan on trading for a goalie and don't want to lower their bargaining position.
CONFIRMED:
According to Bruce Garrioch:
"Can confirm report by @Realkyper that Craig Anderson has suffered a hand injury. How long he's going to be out hasn't been determined."
“We were told (Thursday) it was going to be some period of time. (Friday) we got a little better news. As soon as he feels comfortably he can handle a stick, he’ll be back on the ice, probably as early as next week,” said Murray.
“When he can handle a stick, he can probably get ready to play. There’s no time frame. We’re optimistic that it won’t be a long, long time.”
Anderson has been steady but he hasn't been anythign special the last month. As Anderson goes, the team goes. Will him being out hur the Sens? It might. Who's to say Lehner doesn't come in and play well as the starter?
The only crappy part is going into the playoffs Anderson is going to be rusty. Perhaps from this point on if the reports of 6 weeks are true that Lehner becomes the #1 in Ottawa.
All Senschirp says is that "he may have suffered an injury" nothing on type or length he could be out. No need to panic yet.
There is no need to panic even if it is true. The Sens are a good enough team to win games with Anderson, Auld, or Lehner. Lehner will get the games and truth of the matter is he has been close to NHL for sometime now. He will get his shot.

Lucky for us the deadline hasn't passed. We could still rent a goalie.
Call up Lehner for the rest of the year or rent a goalie at the deadline?
I wanted a goalie before today (although not to replace Andy, just to give him some rest), so clearly I'm on the "trade" side of the fence.
If the org decides to roll with Lehner, so be it, but I worry that if Lehner experiences any rookie struggles and Auld continues to suck, we'll have missed our window with the trade deadline almost at our doorstep.

Umm...4-0-0, 1.00 GAA and a .970 save percentage isn't anything special?
No offense, but the team plays the way it does because it has confidence in Anderson. Plus he stickhandles like a mofo.
Sorry, Anderson is a HUGE loss. Lehner may or may not pan out but we have to remember that he's been struggling in Bingo.
