Bishop could be had for cheap. Why not sign him, send Lehner back to the A, and evaluate next season's new backup goaltender for the rest of this season.

@MikeMcKenna56 Robin Lehner is on his way to Ottawa. Looks like you'll be #1 in Bingo for a while. Are you excited?

Had to explain this to my son tonight...his face was mix of disgust, fear, and confusion: "He cut his hand?!!! Making CHICKEN!?? Is he ever going play again?!"

I have him calmed down for now.

So, who is going to calm me down?

It's Lehner time. Three to five games up here isn't going to ruin him. I agree with starting Auld against Boston on Saturday, and giving him the start against the Isles. After that, let PM be PM and call the shots.

Anyone else find it strange that he got cut by a knife at home at what had to be close to midnight? Don't get me wrong, that is quite plausible, but typically these things end up with another story rather than some random kitchen mishap.

Of course, this is the NHL, rather than the NFL or NBA, so perhaps he just likes lots and lots of fresh onions in his midnight omelette.

The Sun says possible tendon damage. If that is true then (pulling my best Columbo, Monk, Sherlock Holmes).... They say hand and not finger so it's likely he cut deep between the thumb and forefinger while holding a piece of semi frozen chicken that at first resisted a lot but suddenly gave way as he pressed down with the knife near his hand. Could be a lot more than 10 days if tendons were severed. Hope they were just nicked. My conclusion dear reader is that this man is an amateur in the kitchen, a professional chef would never cut towards his hand that way.

However...... the hmmm..... factor

What is puzzling is that Craig catches with his left hand which means he might be righty. Yet they say he cut his right hand which means he was cutting frozen chicken with his left hand. Unless he was eating at the time this is very unnatural. hmmmm????

Anderson underwent surgery today. Likely to be out minimum 6 weeks. Had to reattach the tendons in his hand.

Those NHL players, like Anderson make millions of dollars... You think he would buy the best the knives money can buy... you know the samurai type of knife that cut tendons like butter...

Anderson called Murray and said:
