I was under the impression that most pro sports teams either fund or play a large role in funding these machines, therefore they get first priority in most cases, not really sure though!

Speaking completely out of my ass, but on anecdotal history... Normal prioritization goes by urgency for treatment. Older patients dealing with chronic mild-pain problems are scheduled less quickly than young people whose daily activities are interrupted. Athletes are prioritized, both amateur and pro. I'm sure pro's are just accepted immediately for imaging.

Did I say we give up Zibanejad or Silfverberg for Bernier or Schneider? No I most certainly did not. I am talking about inquiring on the price for a Khabi/Nabokov/Giguere/Garon, someone who can come in and get the job done and give the team confidence. The absolute last thing this team needs right now is to play shaky defensively in front of Auld or Lehner, not take chances offensively and play a frigid, tentative game where teams jump all over us. Sorry, but I have absolutely zero interest in seeing the team take a step back after coming so far this season. Yeah, the team go here by playing a team game, so some reason they cannot do that in front of a veteran goalie.

And you act like having a healthy Anderson backed up by one of the guy's I mentioned for a playoff run would be a bad thing. It's called insurance, and it's something all teams want to have at this time of year. Boston had Rask behind Thomas, Vancouver had Schneider behind Luongo, Chicago had Turco behind Niemi, Pittsburgh had Johnson behind Fleury and so on....

IF the price was reasonable, we have the cap space, there is no reason to not go out and make that move. I am all for giving Auld/Lehner a shot but there absolutely has to be a plan B and right now Murray has to think fast. I don't think he'd give up too much of the future for a quick fix.

But to say the team wouldn't miss a beat by putting Auld or a very green Lehner in net, that is just silly and off the wall.

It is clear you don't have a clue. Look at the voting... by a bunch of people who do.

This is true but the Sens (and every other pro team) have side deals with hospitals to get next day imaging. Its nothing illegal. They pay out of their ass to get those appointments.

I've heard the Sens actually forceably push old women and young kids out of the way to make sure they get to the machines before anyone else.

Ya generally they just look at the schedule and find the weakest people imaginable like the elderly, cancer patients, pregnant women and push them into the used needle abyss then steal their appointment times. You should see the looks they get.

Stephen Harper's writing a book about it. He's a really big fan.

Yeah, Garrioch tweeted it from interviewing him. I guess now that they know it isn't too serious, they're having some fun with it.

I say we whip rubber chickens on the ice when we win games from now on.

I heard somewhere that the Sens have a standing 4:00 PM slot booked for one of Ottawa's MRIs. That's why we need to wait 18 hours after games to hear how injured players are doing.

Take a break Anderson and get ready for the playoff run that could happen.

Good chance to see if Lehner is indeed just bored with the AHL. Not a good way to look at it from Lehner's perspective/development, but he is young and that is all it could be.
Sorry, i was busy today, what's the time frame for his injury according to the official news?

Leclaire had his own MRI in his basement (some players buy Lamborghinis, some players buy medical equipment).

I haven't heard anything official that has narrowed the range from the original 10 days to 8 weeks estimate.

“We were told (Thursday) it was going to be some period of time. (Friday) we got a little better news. As soon as he feels comfortably he can handle a stick, he’ll be back on the ice, probably as early as next week,” said Murray.

“When he can handle a stick, he can probably get ready to play. There’s no time frame. We’re optimistic that it won’t be a long, long time.”
No narrowing of the original range but it seems likely it will be much closer to 10 days than 8 weeks.

It's odd, because I don't get the option of paying for a quick MRI, unless it has something to do with an insurance claim.
