Great to hear Andy is progressing and his hand is getting stronger. Should be back in full practice in another week or so and than return toward the back end of the month.
Will be a huge boost to the team to get him back and than have a very steady and reliable back up on Bishop.
Voted the 3rd option but would prefer to see Bishop's name in place of Lehner. Lehner is a good goalie but needs work on preventing too many juicy rebounds--Bishop seems to allow few rebounds, and is very quick for his size.

Craig Anderson on the ice before Sens practice today and looking very sharp. Taking shots, handling his stick, etc with no issue.

Anderson isn't practicing with the team, but I would anticipate that happens soon. Then we can start talking about his return date.

Great news. End of the day, the stabbing may have a silver lining with Anderson getting a nice rest and break before the playoffs. During the Ranger game broadcast a neat chart was put up showing the number of games played by cup winning goaltenders, and the average was something like 48 games. Potvin said that when the Islanders were on their cup winning streak, Billy Smith only played around 50 games a year.

big plus there. when he comes back he'll be our undisputed number 1, he'll be rested and he'll win us games.
no hurry. there's still plenty of time. i hope he doesn't rush back.

THIS.
As much as I've enjoyed watching Bishop and Lehner play and go through growing pains on the ice, it's made me realize how important Craig Anderson as a veteran is to this team.
And I have a feeling he's going to come back on fire, knowing that there are two kids breathing down his back.
Watching our two rookies play made me realize how good Anderson is technically. Very agile, great rebound control, is never out of position for too long, etc.

I would hope so if he was not better i would be really worried.

Lets not forget after Auld crapped the bed that game right after the city was starting to panic cuz Andy cut his finger off the work that Lehner and the Bishop did. Without these guys we could have easily been joining the Leafs now shinning the golf clubs or at the very least been on the outside looking in ala Jets/Sabres.
Cannot wait to see Anderson back! Let's hope he was working out at home, following the team and seeing what Lehner/Bishop were doing to contribute and getting fired up to make an impact right before the playoffs and of course in the spring time hockey.
But glad to hear things are going well... Happy he should be back before the seasons end to give us a final push and prep himself for playoffs. Just one point a game... But preferrably two today and tomorrow!
