I can't believe York is downplaying Anderson's injury. He is the main reason this team is in the playoff picture. He's basically played the ENTIRE season for us!

Come on Ben Bishop. We might be the only team that can play him enough to ensure he remains an RFA too.

This team is still making the playoffs.

And 4-6 weeks? How deep is the cut? Was he using a chainsaw? Id imagine he is back within two weeks.

How would Ben Bishop be better than Auld or Lehner? He has a grand total of 13 NHL games played to his name...

Lehner is too risky but Bishop isin't risky at all? Hmm, not sure where you're going with this but so you know....Ben Bishop has THIRTEEN games of NHL experience and sports a 4-5-1 record, 1 shutout with a .895 SV%

Lehner on the other hand has 9 games of experience with a 2-4 record and a .892 SV%

It's an interesting idea but not something you can ride the season on. You need a veteran who knows how to come in and win and someone with experience.

The sad part is, even if he does come back and we do make the playoffs, is he going to be the same Anderson so soon after the injury?

Will there be rust?

Sufficient rehab?

Bleh.

I have been too afraid to say it, but I 100% agree. This is 10x worse then any losing streak we could have gone on.

This is just so not cool. I mean has he never cut chicken before? Was he using a machete to cut it? Did he slice right through a tendon? 4-6 weeks is a damn long time for a cut. And the timing is just awful.

If he were to return right before the playoffs and we're still holding down a spot, he would be pretty rusty at the worst time of year....

10 days would only be 5 games. If the Team1200 said "4-6 weeks" that would be the rest of the regular season. Murray should have a better picture by the deadline. It would be a waste to trade away anything of significance if it's on the lower end, with no guarantee we'd get anything better than Lehner and Auld. My bet is that Lehner comes up and we stick with what we have unless there's a really cheap rental available.

well it's his hand. If he can close it properly without too much pain it should be ok. I'm not a goalie but hands don't seem that important, especially the glove one.

For what appears to be the 10th time I have brought him up:

Well, he was running with the ball for you guys, that sucks.

Not trying to troll, but I couldn't stop laughing when I heard the way he got injured. (Again, I won't feel happy that someone got injured, would never wish a thing on *ANY* player, just that the cause was a bit funny).
