Guess he should be lighting the lamp with 2 pairs of stonehands on his line in Boyle and Prust.
Im not saying he doesnt deserve to be down there, but thats not a spot where anyone is going to "produce"
Right. And where did he start the season? In the top 6. He's played himself down there. Hell, even Hagelin managed to rack up some points playing with Boyle.
EDIT: JoeRangers said the same thing on pg.6. And he's right. That line has 3 stonehands, not 2.

Once Carter gets done will be interested to see how quickly Nash gets moved. NYR can't wait until Monday. CBJ will need to make a decision.
Seems like we'll know whether Nash will be a Ranger or not come Sunday.

BTW, Jeff Carter is at a Blue Jacket fan event tonight until 8 pm CT. Could he be traded while at a fan event? #awkward? #TradeCentre #tsn

lol. I can only imagine his reaction.
"What's that? I've been traded? TO LA??? Awww yeahhh! Eff ya'll in Columbus!"
Unfortunately for them I doubt Johnson is any more enthusiastic than Carter.

Remember all those 50 point seasons from Boyle or Prust?
Dubinsky has been brutal this season, Im not arguing that. Dont make yourself look silly by lumping Dubinsky's offensive prowess with those 2.
If Dubi is the only roster player leaving, that's not ripping the team apart.

Well, it's certainly good to know that all of you already know all the terms of a trade that hasn't happened.

Brooks is reliable. Unless Sather's offer has changed dramatically, we have a good idea what the Rangers' offer is. I doubt it's changed much, if at all.

Nobody is claiming to know the terms but when the GM says certain guys are off limits and untouchable I would take that to mean that they wont be traded.
Anisimov generally does in fact he helps his line mates produce when relegated to the 3rd line.
I'm not sure if this is true. Anisimov was in the midst of his 17 game pointless streak when he was playing on the bottom 6. I don't think he had any points playing with Boyle, Prust, Mitchell, etc.

Ok, so don't make yourself look silly by saying that Dubi isn't getting points because he's paired with those 2, because that is not where he started the season. Again, Hagelin started on the third line, and is now on the 1b line. Anisimov went down to the 4th line, but played himself out of it, and the GAS line was reunited. Those 2 elevated their games. Dubi has regressed, by a large margin.
I think a trade will go down late tonight or at some point tomorrow.
Funny, I dont think a trade happens before the deadline - more likely in the offseason.
It just doesnt add up. If Columbus is demanding a package including Logan Couture for Nash from San Jose, do people honestly think Howson is gonna turn around and accept a deal for Dubinsky and a bunch of 2nd-tier prospects?
It just doesnt add up.
Howson tells Sather no-deal on Sunday, and Glen pulls off some low-level depth moves.
And ya know what? That will probably be the best thing for both parties involved.
If it goes down, which I'm pretty positive it will, I'm going to be a bit distraught over the loss of Dubi for a bit. I mean, a shiny new Stanley Cup ring might alleviate it though.

Columbus can ask for whatever it wants, doesn't mean that Couture is on the table. I think it comes down to how much Nash is actually demanding a trade behind the scenes.

C'mon gang, remember the infamous Rangers Draft Day 1999 incident when Cloutier and Sundstrom were at the event and both got traded? After that, this seems like nothing especially for someone who doesn't even want to be in Columbus.
And yes, in my opinion as well Dustin Brown and Chris Stewart would be better additions than Nash but this is only going to happen in NHL 12.

Big difference between what Columbus is demanding and what teams are offering. Hence the rumor that San Jose hung up when Columbus mentioned Couture. Deals arent going to get much better considering the limited places Nash will go

I think a decent power play would go a long way towards alleviating it.
